19|| A Moment Of Goodbye

Lia looked into her reflection early in the morning.

"Aish. Why am I blushing?" she complained, recalling what Sunghoon told her last night.

"I shouldn't take everything he said seriously. Maybe he was just sleepy that time" Lia calmed herself down while fixing her school uniform.

She went downstairs and caught the two boys having a great storytime with her dad. Her eyes met Sunghoon that made her heart beat fast again that's why she immediately looked away.

"You're going to school already?" Soojeong (Mr. Kim) asked.

"Yes. Goodbye dad" she replied without looking back.

"Wait for us" Sunghoon halted.

Lia stopped and faked a laugh.
"E-Eli is waiting f-for me" she lied, running away from home.

The three men are left clueless.

Lia was busy reading a book when her eyes caught Sunghoon,Sunoo and Yoona at the end of the hallway heading towards her direction. She covered her face with the book and tried to turn the other way but she saw someone worse.

"Seon? He is a student in here?"she whispered to herself.

She then turned the other way again and pretended to be unaware.

"Lia?" Yoona asked when they met her but she immediately stick herself to the wall.

"What is this? Is this a wall?" as she simply took a step sideways just to avoid Sunghoon.

Their eyes followed her every steps.

"What's wrong with her?" Sunghoon confusedly uttered.

Sunoo slightly elbowed him, "it's probably because of your confession."

His eyebrow went up "huh?"

"I heard you confessing your feelings to her last night while tucking her hair."

"I-I w-wasn't" Sunghoon replied being in denial causing his heart to beat rapidly.

"Sunghooonnn... I can see you blushing" Yoona teased as she chuckle with Sunoo.

"Just go and clear things with her. Prove your confession to her" Sunoo suggested.

"But what if she will just ignore me even more?" Sunghoon doubted.

"I hope so. I don't like her to be my sister-in-law please Sunghoon--" Sunoo was cut off when Yoona elbowed him.

"W-we'll get going. Fighting!" Yoona cheered, dragging Sunoo away.

Sunghoon bit his lips and had two thoughts.

Lia spent her time in the school nursery. The bell rang wherein it's time to go.

She stood up to leave when someone surprised her. She quickly crawled down the ground to avoid Sunghoon's gaze.

"This is the ground, right? Woah, it's pretty hard" Lia tried to joke while laughing.

Sunghoon looked down on her. "What are you doing? Get up."

Lia didn't listened and continued to crawl but Sunghoon stood in front, blocking her way.

'Ey this man. I'm doomed...'

Lia froze when Sunghoon offered her a hand.

"Get up. Your knees will hurt later on."

Lia felt guilt in her past actions. She held Sunghoon's hand that feels really cold and stood up.

"Are you perhaps avoiding me because of what I said last night?" Sunghoon started. Lia lowered her gaze and didn't respond.

"It's alright. I'm just honest with what I feel towards you and I'm not asking for your answers right away. But I want you to tell me whether to stop or to wait."

Lia bit her lips still being quiet.

Sunghoon took a deep sigh, "I'm sorry. I guess I'll just really get out of it" Sunghoon was about to leave when Lia lifted her gaze and blocked his way by spreading her arms wide.

There, she faced him with tears on her eyes.

"Mr. Sunghoon! I didn't knew you have such a short patience! I'm not avoiding you because I don't like you but because I'm angry!

I'm angry to myself because I like you so much! I like you very very much to the point that I'm worried every single minute you're not by my side! Thinking you might be bitten by those crazy rumored vampires! I like you so much but at the same time I don't like because you kept reminding me of Jungwon!" Lia confessed crashing down into tears.

Sunghoon's joy lasted a minute.

"I... kept.... reminding you of Jungwon?" Sunghoon asked.

Lia sniffed and nodded.

Sunghoon's very first tear in his whole existence fell from his eye as he can feel a new emotion he never felt before.

Something that is hurting his heart too deep. He wanted to shout so bad but his voice seems to disappear.

Lia was about to touch him but he avoided it.

The sun was miraculously covered by the clouds.

"So please wait...." Lia uttered.

"I can't!" Sunghoon replied and turned back to leave when Lia grabbed his hands again.

"What do you mean you can't?!"

"Lia! Jungwon is my brother!" Sunghoon yelled, confessing as his anger reached its limit. His eyes turned red with tears flowing down his cheeks.

Lia's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Sunghoon...... y-your.... e-eyes" Lia stuttered loosening her grip in his hands.

"I'm such a fool to fall in love to someone like you. Lia, if you fell in love with me just because I kept reminding you my brother, let's just end everything in here" Sunghoon replied calmly.

"Goodbye."

Sunghoon starts to walk away from Lia.

'So this is the consequence Heeseung was telling about. Though I saw it coming,it still hurts.

Walking away from you makes me realize we just became each others tears.'
