Doctor's POV
Tibby's plan is perfect.
Absolutely perfect.
So perfect that it could be the definition of perfect.
Okay, that was an exaggeration.
So anyways, Tibby and I head off to the main control room where the Cybermen are located.
"Ready Tibs?" I call out o Tibby.
"Tibs?" she replies.
"Yeah, 'Tibs'. I'm trying out nicknames, how does that sound?"
"Don't call me 'Tibs'."
"Fine." I say, defeated. "But still, are you ready."
"Yes."
"'Kay den. This is gonna be perfect."
"Why do you like the word 'perfect' so much?"
"It's my catchphrase. What? Would you like me to randomly curse in Gallifreyan anytime something goes wrong?"
"Never mind."
"I thought so."
"We should go."
"Now? But stalling is so much fun."
"No. go. NOW."
"You're the one who continued the conversation."
"No, I mean RUN. NOW." Tibby looks at me with a hint of fear in her eyes.
"What, are you too afraid that a Cyberman might find us talking and try to upgrade us while we're distracted?"
Tibby starts backing up, away from me.
"What?" I ask.
"Turn around." She says.
I turn around. There's a Cyberman standing directly behind me, staring at us with empty eyes ridden of emotion.
"You will be upgraded." It says in its monotone voice.
"NOW!" I yell at Tibby.
She sprints forward towards the main control area as I disable the Cyberman with my screwdriver.
More Cybermen take notice of me and charge forwards.
The screwdriver takes care of them easily.
I join Tibby at the main controls and help her rewire it.
"No, Tibby, the blue one goes there, not the yelllow one." I instruct her multiple times.
After a few minutes of reckless instructions we finally rewired the console.
"Now, just press that button right there." I tell Tibby.
She does. Instantly the Cybermen I had disabled with my screwdriver writhe in pain and howl loudly to where it echoes across the room.
"What's happening to them?" Tibby asks.
"Well, we rewired to the computer to give them emotions, and when you pushed the button it sent a signal out to all of them, giving them emotions." I explain to her.
"Okay, but why are they all screaming on the floor?" She asks.
My mouth goes dry.
Poor innocent Tibby.
I lock eyes with her. "Cybermen can't live with emotions. Once they realize what they've become they die."
She looks up at me, her eyes filled with terror. "So... I'm killing these people?"
"Tibby, they aren't people anymore. They dies when they were converted into Cybermen."
"But they still have the brains and hearts of humans in them, and I killed that."
"They could've had a worse ending." I try to reassure her.
"No," She says, "How can you have a worse ending than dying because of your emotions?"
