Welcome to the 2015 New Year's special! This is Mayo3452, I will write this chapter with _books_are_awesome_. This is going to be a long chapter (cause it's a special) and will have a few surprises that you may have not seen coming. This is going to be interesting. :) Just to be clear, the Christmas special HAS NOT HAPPENED for the Master at this point. That was set in the future. However, it has happened for the Doctor and Tibby. This jumps around at different times so watch out. It can be confusing. Also just to refresh:

Christmas special: 2018

Present: Jan 1st 2015.

Okay? Okay.

BBC/BBC America owns Doctor Who.

Nevertheless, we shall start the chapter.

~=Tibby's POV=~

"LOOK OUT!"

The Doctor yells at me as the TARDIS struggles to materialize. She runs around the center console randomly pushing buttons and pulling levers. Unfortunately, she seems to not know what she's doing. I wonder if she passed the test to fly this thing.

The TARDIS starts to shudder violently. "WE'RE HITTING TURBULENCE!" The Doctor tells over her shoulder to me. No kidding. Something hits The TARDIS and I almost start flying.

We grab onto the center console and hold on for our lives. My hands feel like they are about to slip.

The TARDIS makes one final shudder, then stops. I breath a sigh of relief.

"Well, that wasn't as bad as last time." The Doctor says.

Yeah right, last time you almost got flung into the entire space-time continum.

"It was... interesting." I reply.

"We should get outside." She says. "Put this on." She hands me a very ugly sweater. It looks itchy and it has sparkles all over it. A giant snowflake covers the center. It has little bells hanging off the snowflake.

"What for?" I ask.

"Prote-Disguise." She stutters. Protection. That's what she was going to say. Why?

"Okay." I roll my eyes in disbelief.

We walk outside, and it turns out to be very, very interesting...

~=Tibby's POV, 11:00 PM, New Year's Eve=~

The night sky glimmers with stars that shine above the inky blackness of empty space. It's hard to believe I was ever traveling among them.

Of course, I'm not looking at the sky. I'm too busy focusing on the huge building in front of me. It looks old, but not so old things are falling apart. It smells of dust. It brings back so many memories.

It's my orphanage. The place I call home... or used to. I blink back tears as the Doctor walks up behind me.

"So what's this?" She asks with a peppy tone.

I jump at the sound of her voice. I spin around.

"You startled me-" I start.

"Sorry." She says.

"-besides, it's my old home." I finnish.

She stares at me quizzically. "I thought you lived in an orphanage."

"Precisely." I give her a skeptical expression that matches my sarcastic tone perfectly.

~~~
I walk through the empty halls of my orphanage. Everyone is snug in their beds. Perfectly cuddled up away from the gently falling snow outside. Warm. Cozy. Safe.
