Tibby

Tibby's POV

I wake up at the orphanage. I can't wait until summer so school can be over and no one will pick on me. At least its the last day.

I never really had friends. When I was six I had a few, but then I moved here after my parents died in a car accident. After that everyone just shut me out and bullied me.

Everyone started calling me tulip because tulips are the "friendship flowers" and I have none.

But strange things have been happening at my school. There is this one teacher, Mr. Jones, who always acts strange. one student got detention and stayed after school, I was walking past his room during the time and heard the kids screams, along with what sounded like a monster I instantly sprinted out the door.

I'm walking to the last day of school when I hear this strange noise. I start running towards it. When I get to where the sound was coming from I am shocked at what I see. A 19 year old girl wearing guy's clothing is standing next to a police box.

She walks up to me.

"Hello"she says.

"Hello" I say back. This girl is strange. Those noises were not made by dropping something, or anything. And I go past this everyday to and from school. That box was not there, but how could a police box make that sound? It doesn't add up. Just like things at my school. She smiles.

"How old are you? " she asks.

"13" I reply. I eye her skeptically.

"Why is it so hot here?"

"Maybe it because its the start of summer and you're wearing heavy clothing." I roll my eyes.

"So that explains it. What's the date?"

"June 18th"

"Ah! yes, the 169th day of the year. " This girl keeps getting more and more weird. "Perfect. What year is it?"

"2014" Did this person just wake up from a comma? Seriously, I get not knowing the date, but year?

"What planet are we on?" I am scared now. Why would she ask that? Is she an alien, wait hold up. This girl is probably connected to what's going on in my school. "Earth"

"Oh yeah! Probably should've guessed it by the way you keep time. And where are we on earth?"

"North America. USA. Colorado. Aspen."

"Okaaaaaaaaay... Now this is my last question. Who are you?"

"Tibby Turner. But some people call me tulip."

"Hello Tibby, I'm the Doctor." She says.

With that I turn and run to school. I don't know what's going on, but I'm going to find out.
