Chapter Fifteen

3RD P.O.V

Steve's eyes went wide at the name "who's Storms?" Sam asked confused "Storms was the one that help y/n captive, the one we saved her from years ago. Remember when we went to that HYDRA base looking for the serum? Where we first met, fought, y/n. The man next to her was Dr J Storms" Steve explained "Storms created this Agency called 'ECHO.' He's hated HYDRA for years and has wanted to destroy them since day one. When I was with ECHO I was sent on missions to take down HYDRA bases and steal their intel, he took their plans and either destroyed them or used them. That's why I have to find Bucky before Storms' men do."

Suddenly the building shook and a loud explosion echoed through the building "Boss, the lower 3 levels have been compromised. The explosion destroyed them" FRIDAY said pulling up a holographic image of the tower and the floors. Everyone turned to the screen and saw the damaged. Y/n ran out the room and back to the stairs "FRIDAY, where's Bucky?" y/n called "he's in the Gym" y/n jumped down each staircase to the Gym just as Bucky ran out "Bucky! We have to get you outta here!" y/n said grabbing his hand "I heard the explosion, what's happening?" he asked running "Storms. He's got the book HYDRA used on you, with the words that changed you. He's gonna use them on you" Bucky frowned confused and worried "y/n, the words have been erased, Wanda helped remove them" Bucky said making y/n stop. "But he has-" before y/n could finish bullets came flying their way. Quickly they hid behind the wall dodging all the bullets. "Hold your fire!" Storms ordered.

Y/n looked around the corner to see Storms, book in hand. She watched as he opened the book flicking a few pages "I knew you'd run back to protect your friends, but can they protect themselves from you?" before y/n could react he started the pattern. "Longing...rusted...furnace...daybreak"

"No, no. Stop!" y/n cried holding her head "seventeen....benign....nine" she fell to her knees trying to shut him out "stop it!" she screamed. Bucky looked around trying to find anything to stop him talking "homecoming....one..." Bucky stood up and got a hold of the small desk and threw it at Storms and his men. He managed to know a few down but missed Storms. "Freight car." Y/n's screams stopped; the only sound was her heavy breathing "y/n?" Bucky cautiously kneeling down beside y/n fearing the worst. He moved some hair out her face seeing her eyes were closed "y/n, it's me, Bucky" he whispered. Her eyes opened and he was met with a cold stare. She held no emotion, her eyes weren't their usual e/c colour, they were just dark. Empty. Y/n looked up at Bucky and he knew he was too late. Y/n stood up glaring at Bucky, blue sparks forming in her hand.

"Soldat?" (Soldier?)

"Bucky!" someone called as footsteps stomped through the halls "Bucky! Y/n!"

Y/n looked over at the new voices and saw the others stood their armed. Y/n turned back to Bucky holding her cold stare "ya gotov otvechat'" (ready to comply).  Storms threw down a smoke bomb towards the Avengers allowing y/n to turn  around and follow Storms and his men out. Coughing, Bucky waved the smoke away only to see a blurry y/n walking away.
