Chapter Seventeen

3RD P.O.V

Bucky slumped down against the wall, his head in his hands. The others were conducting a plan to get y/n back. He couldn't believe what happened. They used the same words HYDRA did on him, how is that even possible? "Buck?" Steve stood in front of him, but Bucky didn't move "you should've seen her. She looked like she really wanted to kill. That wasn't y/n" Steve sighed and sat down beside him "when we found y/n it was in a HYDRA base. We originally went there as we found information about someone re-creating the serum we have. Tracking down the source, me, Nat, Wanda and Sam went after it. When we got inside we found there wasn't any serum, not the same serum we had. It was a clear one and a lot of more than we thought. We also found a high-powered machine that conducted massive amount of electricity. That's when we met storm"

Steve, Nat, Wanda and Sam gained access into the building, searching for the serum. They checked every room but found nothing. "It's empty, there's nothing here" Sam said as they met back up in the main hall "there's no trace of the serum" Nat said looking around when something caught her eye "hey, check this out" she walked down the hall into another room, the others following. Inside was a metal table with leather straps and some kind of large machine connected to loads of wires. "This is the same thing HYDRA used to Bucky to wipe his mind...but different" Steve said walking around it. "Different how?" Sam asked. "HYDRA has different technology than I do" the four spun around to see a man wearing a posh looking suit and a grin. Standing to him was a Soldier, loaded from head to toe with weapons.

"Who are you?" Steve demanded "oh how rude of me, Dr J Storms. And this here is my greatest weapon" he grinned "Zemo killed the other Winter Soldiers" Nat stated "yes, but I'm not HYDRA. I'm better than them. I admit I stole some of their secrets to create my own Winter Soldier, but this is one is far much better" now all of them were confused "how about I let you introduce yourselves to them" Storms stepped back "zakonchit' ikh" (finish them.) Blue sparks formed in the soldier's hands as she walked towards the four. She held them up and sent a blast. Steve quickly grabbed Nat, using his Shield to protect them. Sam did the same with Wanda with his wings.

Steve got up and threw his Shield at her, only for to catch it inches from her face. She glared at him throwing it back twice as hard, sending Steve back into the wall. Wanda used her powers to throw objects at her, but it was useless. She either dodged each attack or blocked it smashing it. The soldier sent another blast to the wall making it crack and crumble. Suddenly shots were heard, catching her off guard. She stumbled back looking down at herself, but she was unfazed by it. Storms had taken cover and ran out unnoticed. She charged at them sending blasts of electricity at them. Steve was back at this feet and she shot another blast, more powerful this time. He blocked it and somehow it backfired hitting the Winter Soldier, sending her flying into a wall, knocking her unconscious.

"Storms used HYDRA's technology, along with his own, to wipe y/n's mind. When I saw everything I knew I couldn't just leave her there, so we took her back to the Tower where Bruce took care of her. We had y/n transferred to a more secure room, we couldn't risk anyone else getting hurt. When she recovered she didn't say a word for days, we brought her food, but she only had a few bites of each meal. Every time we checked on her, she looked so lost, confused, scared. She was only a teenager, and I could see she was confused about everything that happened. Once day, Sam took her some food when she said 'why.' We were all stunned at it, the first word she said in a long time. Sam stayed and talked while we watched the camera's in the commons room"

Bucky was so surprised, speechless. "Time went by, and y/n began to open up a bit more, ate a lot more. A few weeks in and we decided that maybe Wanda could help with her memory, like she did for you. Y/n wasn't sure about it at first but soon agreed to it. We did a few sessions throughout the week until y/n had got all her memories back. Wanda removed everything about Storms and ECHO, but y/n said it will always still be there. Guess the words were too." Bucky stood up determination in his eyes "we're gonna find her. I'm gonna find her"
