Rylee Meets Danny Phantom

Chapter 12

Rylee's POV
When Danny took me down to the lab, it was bigger than I thought it would be. "Wow. Cool place." I said looking around. "Thanks. This place used to scare me as a child but I've grown used to it when I gained ghost powers. The only problem is I was always afraid of telling my parents as a teenager until the disasteroid incident." I began to feel weird when Danny mentioned the disasteroid. "You ok?" Asked Danny concerned. "There's something I need to tell you about that incident. While I am grateful you saved the world that day, I actually had nightmares about it for years." I said rubbing my arm. "Oh, come here, sweetie." Danny came up to hug me. "You're definitely not the only one that had nightmares. This whole town had nightmares including myself. I was always afraid that an incident like that would happen again. Especially because I became more protective as the years went on. But I've also grown as a hero because of it. Plus I've through other incidents before that. Pariah Dark, the ghost king, brought all of Amity Park into the ghost zone. And I've even fought the worst enemy I've ever faced and I'm still traumatized by it." I looked up at him concerned. "I think you're ready to hear this but I'll tell you later because I'm starting to feel a little weird." I hugged him as I could sense he was going to cry. "I never knew that being a superhero would be so difficult. You've been through so many scary moments." Danny rubbed my back as I began to feel bad for everything he's been through. "Being a superhero is difficult but I couldn't have asked for a better job. I love saving peoples lives. I've always enjoyed helping people even before I even became Danny Phantom. Despite all those scary moments, I became stronger everyday. And the best part is-" He paused as he grabbed my hands. "I get to protect my sweet little angel." I got a little bit emotional in response to him telling me his favorite part of being a superhero and crouched down a little to kiss my nose.

Danny's POV
I gave Rylee a kiss on the nose after my speech about being a superhero. "You have the cutest nose." I said tickling her nose. "Let's continue on with the tour. Right over here is the Fenton thermos. It helps me capture ghosts. Which reminds me, I should probably send the ectopuses back in the ghost zone." I said going over to the portal and sent the ghosts back. "So this is the portal that gave you ghost powers." Said Rylee. "Yeah. I've had a lot of memories with this thing. And the lab incident was the most painful thing I've experienced. It's a good thing I survived. I could've died." I said closing the portal. "But wouldn't you be half dead since you're half ghost?" Asked Rylee. "Yeah, I actually figured that out in my senior year. Freaked me out at first but I've learned to not let it affect me. I stay a ghost forever." I said. "This lab has some cool gadgets but there's a couple things that messed with my powers one of them is in the op center." I then gently carried Rylee and flew her up to the op center. "This is the Fenton crammer. It's a shrink ray that prevents ghosts from using their powers. I would know because I've been shrunk by this thing and it nearly took my powers away." I said demonstrating by shrinking the table. "It works on objects and humans too." I picked up the table. "That's really tiny." Said Rylee. "It is. Thankfully I can use this to grow thing back to normal." I said turning the table big again.

Rylee's POV
I was a little terrified of the Fenton crammer judging by how small the table got but I was curious to see what Danny would look like from looking up from that size. "I'd shrink you down but I'll do it another time. I actually want to go snuggle on the couch." Said Danny. "Me too. I'm actually feeling a little weak right now." I said feeling like I'm gonna pass out. "Why don't I take you to my room instead?" Danny gently picked me, slowly flew me down to his room, and set me down on the bed. "I'll go get you some medicine." Said Danny going into the bathroom as I laid in his bed feeling really cold and weak so I pulled the blanket over me. Danny than came back in the room with medicine. "This medicine is good for all kinds of things." Danny propped me up and gave me the medicine which made me gag but gave me water afterwards. "You want me to stay in here with you?" Asked Danny. "I'd like that." I said in a weak voice. "My poor baby." Danny then put his hand on my forehead. "You're burning up, sweetheart." Danny grabbed a thermometer from his drawer and checked my temperature. "101.1." That's when I began to cry. "You poor thing." Said Danny leaning in to kiss my forehead. "I-I don't know what caused it though. I-I was fine last night and when I woke up." I said as Danny laid next to me. "Unfortunately, these things happen and it can definitely be difficult. But I'm right here to take care of you until you feel better." I nodded as I looked into his eyes. "I'll rub your tummy to help ease the pain." I still couldn't get over how gentle Danny's hands were rubbing my tummy. I've heard some superheroes were stuck up but Danny is the sweetest guy on the planet. I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend.
