Rylee Meets Danny Phantom

Chapter 14

Rylee's POV
After about a few minutes after falling asleep in Danny's arms, I drifted off into dream mode.

*dream*
I was lying on the floor in the living room which looked normal but something was off. I stood up to realize everything was bigger. Did I shrink? What could've shrunk me? My thoughts were interrupted by the ground beginning to shake. I turned around to see a giant Danny walking in the living room. I thought he was a giant before from being so tall but now he really is one. "Rylee?" His voice boomed very loudly making me cover my ears very tightly. "Where's my little angel?" I waved my arms to get his attention. "Danny! I'm down here!" That's when he looked down at me. "Is that a bug?" I was scared he was going to kill me when he thought I was bug but instead he knelt down causing me to scream. "Please don't hurt me!" I began to cry in fear. "Oh no, Rylee." I felt his hand gently scoop me in his palm. "I've got you, Rylee. I won't hurt you." I looked up at Danny with tears streaming down my face. "I know being this small is scary but you're still in a very safe place. And I didn't mean to scare you when I thought you were a bug. Even if you were, I wouldn't have the heart to hurt you." Danny then used his gigantic thumb to wipe my tears away very gently as he made his way to the couch and held me in front of his face. "I made a promise to protect you and I want to keep that promise." I was a little scared when he brought me closer thinking he was going to eat me but instead I felt his huge lips gently lean against my whole body which meant he was giving me a kiss. Danny eventually placed me on his tummy very gently. However, I tumbled and fell into his bellybutton. He chuckled as he gently helped me get out. "You fell in my bellybutton, sweetie." Said Danny placing me back on his tummy but kept me in place and gently rubbed my back. "I love you, Rylee." That's when everything went black.
*end of dream*
I woke up feeling a little better but still weak. "Hey, sweetheart. You feeling ok?" Asked Danny still holding me. "I'm ok. I just had the weirdest dream." I said as I explained everything in my dream. "Oh my baby. That must've been scary."

Danny's POV
I continued to hold Rylee in my arms as she told me about her dream about being shrunk very tiny and that's when it hit me. "Did the shrink ray freak you out, honey?" I asked. "A little." Said Rylee as I noticed tears running down her face so I wiped her tears away. "Listen, I won't shrink you down to size because I know how scary it is to be that small. I've been shrunk by that thing along with Dash and Skulker. Dash didn't know I was Phantom yet and that thing nearly revealed my secret but we eventually got back to normal size. However, I kept Skulker at that size and flicked him in the freezer." Rylee chuckled. "But even though it was scary, it also taught me to rely on my natural abilities and I've gotten stronger since then." I then grabbed Rylee's hand very gently. "And don't worry. Even if you were that small, I would still love you with all my heart and still be very gentle with you. The only downside with that is I wouldn't be able to give you big bear hugs like I always do." I gave her a bear hug which made her giggle. "Also, I already feel like a giant next to you anyway." I said pinching her cheek. "You're a gentle one though." Said Rylee looking up at me making me smile. "I love you, sweetie." I said giving her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you too, Danny." That's when we heard a knock on the door. "Be right back." I got up from the bed, went down to open the door, and saw Dash with a sad look on his face. "Dash, you ok?" I asked inviting him in. "I just found out my mom has cancer." Said Dash as he looked like he was going to cry so I gave him a hug. "I'm so sorry, Dash. That's so sad." I said as he teared up. "Why don't you come up to my room and we can talk? I've got Rylee upstairs and can definitely help as well." I said. "Thanks." We went back upstairs to see Rylee who was snuggling with one of my teddy bears which put a smile on my face. "Sorry. I just saw it and want to hug it." Rylee looked at me with guilt on her face which made me confused as to why she's guilty. "Rylee, it's ok. There's nothing to feel guilty about. You're welcome to hold my teddy bears as long as you like." I reassured her as I sat down next to her as Dash sat on a chair in front of us. "You 2 are so cute together." Said Dash. "And it's good to see you again, Rylee." He reached out to shake Rylee's hand in which grabbed his hand very gently. "Still a shy one." Said Dash. "I'm just not feeling well. I feel a little weak." Said Rylee. "I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better soon." Said Dash. "I'm gonna go get some snacks. Do you mind watching her for me?" I asked. "Sure. I don't mind." I then went while Dash and Rylee waited upstairs.
