Rylee Meets Danny Phantom

Chapter 22

Danny's POV
After having an amazing time at Sam's party, it was time to go home. We all gave each other goodbye hugs to everyone and that we'll see them another time. That's when Jazz and Dani came up to both me and Rylee. "It was so nice to finally meet you, Rylee. I know you were nervous about meeting us, but we already loved you when Danny sent us a picture of two of you." Said Jazz giving me a hug. "And our parents are really excited to meet you. Believe me, I was nervous about meeting Danny asked me to be a part of his family because I thought they wouldn't accept me but they're the most welcoming people in the world." Said Dani. "They'll be coming over tomorrow and we'll be right there with you." I watched Rylee hug both of my sisters and we all said goodbye before going home. I sat with Rylee on the couch so we could watch a movie but I wanted to do something else before the movie. "Hey, Rylee, you don't mind if I check out your YouTube channel, do you?" I asked. "Of course. I'm sorry I haven't shown you my videos yet." Said Rylee. "No, don't apologize. You wanted to surprise me at the party and I'm so glad you did. I just wanna see more song covers." I said putting my arm around her and pulling up her YouTube channel. One video was titled I'm Here from Sonic Frontiers so I clicked on it and I was in shock once again. "You have such a big voice yet your so tiny. Why did you hide this from me for so long?" I asked giving her a nuggie out of love. "I wanted to surprise you." Said Rylee in a giggle hiding her face playfully. "And it was a very pleasant surprise." I gently placed my hand on her on her cheek and kissed her nose. "Ready to watch a movie?" Rylee nodded and I put on The Lion King. It's emotional movie which is perfect for cuddling.

Rylee's POV
I snuggled up against Danny throughout the movie especially during Mufasa's death. I noticed him crying as well so we were comforting each other. After the movie, I was time for us to go to bed. "Danny, is it ok if I sleep in my bed tonight?" I asked. "Of course, Rylee. I'll fly you over there right now." Danny transformed into Phantom and flew me over to my house into my room. He waited on my bed while I changed into my pajamas and brushed my hair and teeth. Once I got into bed, Danny tucked me in and gently grabbed my hand. "Did you have a good time tonight?" Asked Danny. "I did. It was really fun." I said while holding his hand. "I'm so glad. Everyone loved you even though you were very shy especially my sisters." I smiled in response. "Your sisters are so nice. I was a little nervous about meeting your family and so far they're the most welcoming people I've ever met." I said to Danny. "I gotta ask, how did it feel telling your parents and sister that you were Danny Phantom? I know Dani already knew since she's a clone of yours." Danny took a deep breath. "It wasn't easy. Jazz already knew before I was ready to tell her but she respected that and I appreciated how patient she was with me. But due to the fact that my parents are ghost hunters, I was afraid they were going to do experiments on me or disect me or just wouldn't accept me at all. But the day I saved the world from the disastroid, they accepted me for who I am. I felt so much relief when they accepted me being part ghost." I gave Danny a hug as I noticed him getting emotional. "Your parents sound like wonderful people." I said slowly letting go. "They are and they will love you as well. I can definitely tell your a bit insecure about meeting them because of how short you are but I promise they will love you no matter what." Said Danny stroking my cheek. "It's just that you and Jazz are so tall compared to me so it just made me wonder how tall your parents are." I said. "Well, I'm actually the tallest in the family. My dad's 6'4 and my mom's 6ft like Jazz. We've got a tall family. It's weird because my dad used to be the giant of the family and I was the runt of the family until the summer before my junior year when I had my massive growth spurt. And it was a very painful growth spurt." Said Danny still holding my hand. "How come?" I asked. "Part of it was my ghost half and it came out of nowhere. It made ghost fighting a living hell due to how painful it was."

Danny's POV
When I told Rylee how painful my growth spurt was, she reached in for a hug. "It's ok, sweetie. I eventually got through it. It wasn't easy but my friends and family were all so supportive and helpful. Jazz gives me the best back massages and Dani made some of the best meals with my mom. My dad knew my powers were part of the reason I was in so much pain so him and my mom gave me special painkillers to keep my powers under control during the growth spurt. That's when I became the giant of the family at 6'5. Although, I think I grew another inch recently." I said. "I kinda figured you did but I just say anything." Said Rylee holding my hand. "I still love you regardless of how big you are." I smiled in response. "And I love you no matter how little you are." I said while gently pinching her cheeks causing her giggle. "Alright, Rylee. I'm going to let you get to sleep. You ok on your own?" Rylee nodded. "Ok. Just remember if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask and I'll be more than happy to help." "Thanks, Danny. I love you." Said Rylee laying on her side. "I love you too, baby. Sweet dreams, little one." Rylee fell asleep as soon as I said sweet dreams which still put a smile on my face due to how cute she was and gave her a kiss goodnight on the cheek before heading off to my room so I can get some sleep as well.
