"Wake up! Wake up H! Happy birthday!" I cheered, jumping on the bed. Today was indeed July 31st. My best friend's birthday and the day he gets his Hogwarts letter. I'm just really happy we'll be going to Hogwarts together. Not to mention I hope we'll meet new kids on the way. He slept peacefully on Kyle's bed after asking Lily if he could spend the night here. He stirred for a couple seconds before waking up groggily. "What?" He asked tiredly. I shook him violently. "Wake up! It's your birthday!" I cheered. He was confused for a second until his eyes widened. "Oh yeah!" He remembered. I rolled my eyes. "You literally put Zzz's on my heartfelt birthday tributes." I sassed. He rubbed his eyes before putting his glasses on. "Sorry. Thanks Sky." He said, getting off the bed and stretching. I hugged him. He hugged back. "This is your special day." I whispered. We parted. He smiled excitingly. "Yup! I'm getting my Hogwarts letter! I'll join the Quidditch team as first year and become seeker!" He cheered. I laughed, grabbing my new broom off my sofa chair. A birthday present from Sirius. "Wanna practice?" I asked. He sighed happily. "You're bloody amazing." He said. I scoffed, smirking. "Of course I am." I joked. The broom levitated in mid-air as we carefully got on with Harry in front. He smiled widely. "Ok, ready?" He asked. I quickly nodded. My brain suddenly clicked. We don't even know how to fly! Oh no! If I break this broom, Mom will kill me! Oh god! My jaw dropped. "Wait! Harry- I was cut off when he drove the broom around the room. The sudden air brushing up against me. "Whoa!" I yelled as we zoomed out and flew above the stairs. Harry cheered happily. "Whoo hoo!" He said. We speeded around the dining room which I'm sure we'll crash into. He led us through the living room and almost to the ceiling. "What is going on here?!" Dad shouted from upstairs. We smiled nervously, heading toward the kitchen. "Nothing!" We shouted. I held onto Harry's back for dear life. "Cmon! Let's try to land in position!" He told me. I looked at him confusedly. "Where are we gonna land?!" I asked frantically. He flew us back into the dining room. We screamed as we fell off the broom onto a pile of couch pillows. Luckily, my broom didn't break in half. I realized I landed on Harry's back. He groaned in pain. "Ouch." He whined. I quickly got off him. "I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you?" I asked. He inhaled a deep breath and helped himself off the pillows. "Nope! I'm perfectly fine!" He said through gritted teeth. I rolled my eyes and picked up my broom. "Let's leave before my parents kill us for nearly destroying the property." I quickly said. He suddenly chuckled. Ugh, what's so funny about us getting grounded for flying a broom at home? Oh wait. I began laughing. We broke into laughter and playfully pushed each other on the pillows. "Skylar! Harry!" Mom called. We stopped and I hid the broom behind my back. She came downstairs and saw us weirdly. "What happened here?" She asked. Harry scoffed. "Nothing. We were just watching TV godmother. Right Sky?" He said. I fake smiled and nodded. Mom crossed her arms and noticed the broom behind me. Uh oh. She returned the gesture. "You know? Make sure you write to me about how you've made the Quidditch team after you both randomly flew around the house." She said sarcastically. We chuckled nervously. "Sure Mom. That'll do." I said. Mom nodded. "And Harry, your parents are coming the next hour to take you home. We'll stop by later for the birthday get-together. I hope you'll get your letter!" She said, cheering at the last part. Harry smiled nicely. "Thank you Mrs. Rogers." He said. Mom made her way into the kitchen. I shrugged. "Alright. Let's get ready for breakfast. I need to look good when the party begins." I sassed confidently. Harry smirked. "Sometimes I'd find your ego cute."He told me. I madly blushed as we rushed upstairs to get ready.

It was 3pm. We arrived to Harry's house by Mom apparating us there. Mom and Dad went to talk with James and Lily while me and Kyle joined Harry in the living room. I sighed happily. "Has it arrived yet?" I asked, referring to the letter. He sighed. "Nope." He quickly said. "Damn it." I whispered quietly. Harry shrugged. "Have you packed your things?" He asked. I nodded. "Everything. I'm still surprised we'll need to wear dress robes." I said. He chuckled. "You'll get used to it." He said. The only thing I'm missing is the pet. My brown owl Bambi would be really helpful. Hopefully, we'll get a dog in the future. A little fluffy friend to come home to. Kyle playfully caught his toy snitch from his hands. I grabbed my wand off the couch and smiled deviously. "Wingardium leviosa." I whispered. The snitch began levitating off his hands. He stared at it confusedly. "What the?" He asked. Harry's jaw dropped. I kept pointing at the snitch and directed it onto my left hand. It flapped it's wings and laid comfortably on my hand. Kyle gasped shockingly. "How'd you do that?" He asked. I smiled. "Mom taught me. It's a spell to make objects levitate. Make sure to concentrate though." I said, winking. Harry chuckled. "A first spell we learnt today." He said. Another owl flew by on the kitchen window carrying the same colored envelope. My eyes widened. "Harry!" I called. He looked up and saw the owl. Kyle smiled. "It's your letter!" He said. We got off the couch and rushed to the kitchen. He took the envelope off its mouth and revealed the Hogwarts letter. "Mom! Dad!" He yelled. Our parents came inside from the backyard. Lily smiled widely. "Your letter came!" She beamed. James returned the gesture. I hugged Harry from behind. "We're going to Hogwarts!" I squealed. He smiled. "And I'll get to become first year Seeker on the Quidditch team." He said. I playfully rolled my eyes. "You've been bragging about this since we were three." I slightly joked. They laughed including him. Dad sighed happily. "Alright, it's settled. When and where we drop you off?" He asked. Mom smirked. "You'll see babe." She whispered in his ear. James chuckled. Lily nudged his shoulder. I pulled out my wand and cheered. "Let's celebrate!" I said. Mom quickly took my wand and smirked. "Woah, woah, woah. Until you learn more spells, don't have too much fun." She teased. Harry nodded in agreement. "Remember the last time you used magic to make cake?" He asked. I slightly cringed at the memory. Kyle couldn't stop spitting out baking soda for a week. "I see your point." I simply agreed. She laughed as she waved her wand a few times. Harry's cake was magically created into this:

Harry's jaw dropped, smiling. Lily laughed. "It's perfect Alex!" She said. So delicious. I licked my lips delightfully. "Delicious." I muttered. Kyle nearly drooled before wiping his mouth. We enjoyed his birthday while celebrating Harry's acceptance to Hogwarts.
