Friday's still the best! All my excitement for the pumpkin-scary-filled weekend. Usually I'd be trying on costumes, trick-or-treating with Kyle, decorating the house with Mom, doing scary pranks with Harry. Right now isn't a good time. Me, Hermione and Brianna were in the common room studying our Magical Theory homework. "Skylar, I'm feeling parched. Why don't you grab me butterbeer?" Brianna asked. I playfully rolled my eyes. Since I pulled that prank, she's been acting quite nastier than usual. "I'm not your barista. Get it yourself." I sassed. She huffed irritatingly. "Git. If my throat catches dryness, it's your fault." She said. Hermione sat in the armchair while going over her textbook. "Theory of the spell goes through..." She trailed off. "Wingardium Leviosa." Brianna whispered as she levitated her ink bottle and spilled a little ink on my lap. My eyes widened. "Brianna!" I growled. She laughed before leading the bottle to her. Two can play this game. I pulled out my wand and pointed to her hair. "Wingardium Leviosa!" I said. It began floating above her ears. She panicked hysterically. "Stop! Skylar stop! Ugh!" She complained. I kept laughing. "Got ya! That's what you get!" I giggled. Hermione finally looked up from her book and pulled out her wand. "If you two don't stop, your heads will be pumpkins for carving! Understand?" She said firmly. We obeyed and shoved our wands into our pockets. However, Brianna's hair was still afloat. She stuck her tongue at me and kept reading her textbook. I hid a dry chuckle. Wait. My throat does feel parched. Where's a drink when you need it? Parvati rushed downstairs and smiled. "Guys! Come upstairs! Hurry! Cmon!" She urged. We shared confusion before following behind to the girl's dormitory.

In our bedroom, five girls surrounded our fourth roommate Katie on the desk as she waved her wand a few times and baking ingredients like sugar, butter and whip cream fell into a stand mixer. All our jaws dropped except Brianna who breathed a breath of relief. "Finally!" She whispered. I smiled. "What's happening?" I asked. Katie returned the gesture. "I'm making my special recipe. Butterbeer ice cream floats!" She beamed. Fireworks popped repeatedly in my head. Ice cream floats?! Me and Brianna cheered happily. "Yay! Yay!" We said in unison. Hermione looked at her in shock. "You're making a dessert recipe here?" She asked. She nodded. "Halloween's one of my favorite holidays so I gotten a little homesick. My family and I used to make these at home for fun. My little brother came up with the idea." She explained. The mixer was mixing the ingredients and letting out whirling noises. Brianna smiled. "Can we have some?!" She shouted. "Sure!" Katie answered. I mentally cheered. We can even bring them to lunchtime. I playfully nudged Hermione's shoulder and motioned her to talk outside the room. Brianna stayed on her bed patiently. She smirked. "Sky, I'm aware how cool it is. Don't need to hide it." She said. I laughed. "Beats our thirstiness. Ron will be jealous!" I joked. She chuckled. The school bells suddenly chimed. I pulled out my phone. 12pm. "Lunchtime!" I told her. She nodded in agreement. The girls walked out of the room holding their butterbeer cups. We came inside and saw Katie serving Brianna a fresh ice cream float. There was three cups left. She smiled warmly. "Let's go to lunch!" She said. Brianna sighed happily. "Guys, taste it! It's delicious!" She squealed. We laughed, grabbing our cups and left the room.

Word about Katie's Butterbeer floats spread through all house tables. Nearly all Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs wanted the drinks. I delightfully sipped mine before gasped happily. "Oh my god! I'll never look at ice cream floats the same again." I said. Harry laughed. "Is it really good?" He asked. Hermione nodded. "More than good! Amazing!" She agreed. Ron smiled. "Katie's family are geniuses." He added. Brianna hadn't finished her float due to brushing her hair down. Harry smirked knowingly. I smiled innocently. "What?" I asked. He looked down and chuckled. "Now, has anyone done their Magical Theory homework?" Hermione asked. Everyone except me groaned irritatingly. We all knew she would ask this type of question. I shrugged. "I did. I'm halfway done after Bri tried to ink my pants." I said. She fake smiled. "Needed a little draw." She said. Hermione rolled her eyes. Ron raised an eyebrow. "My sister would've done the same to me." He said. A sister? He has a sister? I looked at him weirdly. "You have a sister?" I asked. Harry nodded. "My only sister Ginny." He told me. Brianna stared at him in shock. "You got five brothers and one sister?" She asked. He couldn't talk because of eating chicken so he nodded. "Poor you." She said. Ron shrugged. "I'm used to it- she cut him off. "I mean Ginny." She sassed. We laughed. He stuck her tongue out. "I wouldn't talk unless Sky makes your hair float." He retorted. Harry giggled. Brianna huffed, rubbing her forehead. I looked at her weirdly. She inhaled a deep breath and scratched her throat. "Are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah. My throat's a little itchy. Madam Pomfrey said they're side-effects from the medicine to relieve the poison." She said. I nodded. "What kind of side-effects?" Harry asked. She handed me a yellow note from her pocket. My eyes widened. "Itchy throat, craving for sugar, mood swings and energetic." I read. They looked at her in disbelief. "Blimey, those are side-effects?" Seamus asked. Brianna shrugged. "I'm grateful it'll last till the week's over." She said. All are side-effects except mood swings. "Her moods aren't really side-effects." I whispered in Hermione's ear. She nodded in agreement. "So, any plans this weekend?" Harry asked. I smiled excitingly. "How about scary plans?" I suggested. Ron returned the gesture. "We already made freaky pumpkins. There's gotta be more scary stuff!" He beamed. Harry smiled. "Like what?" He asked. Wow. I didn't know scary plans take planning too. "How about watch Halloween movies? Look for costumes? Tell scary stories? Or in fact, visit the Forbidden Forest again?" I asked. They stopped eating and drinking in rather shock including Brianna. She fake smiled. "Suppose you're waiting for me to get sent back to the wing." She said sarcastically. I returned the gesture. "Debatable but no. We can always do something else. Of course it's the last place to be on Halloween." I said. Hermione playfully rolled her eyes. "Now you're being terrifying." She said. Harry hummed in response. "How about if we do, nobody touch anything or walk on anything?" He asked. I fake gasped. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I asked sarcastically. Hermione nodded her head no. "You lot are mental! You really don't know what's out there! Like the poison tree, remember? What else? Being hunted by a loose dragon?" She complained. Ron scoffed. "I actually agree! This is crazy, mate! We'll be lucky if we come back with our arms and legs." He agreed. Brianna cleared her throat. "I'd like to add that I won't be coming. Apparently because I'm not mental like you four." She added. I rolled my eyes. "Chill out guys! Nothing will happen as long as we don't touch anything, walk on anything or make sounds." I assured. Harry smiled. "And more importantly, we have the cloak." He whispered. Hermione was confused but took a deep breath. "I'm only going because you'll need a witness if you go missing." She said. We laughed and cheered. Ron huffed deeply. "I hope not." He mumbled. We're heading back to the Forest. Nothing would surely happen, would it?
