Soon enough, school was over. We planned to sneak into the Forbidden Forest early before nighttime and bring the cloak in case anything's wandering there. I'm thankful Brianna decided to stay or else she'd brought a deadly pet. It was 2pm. In our room, the cloak shrunk easily into Harry's pocket. Ron sighed nervously. "This is weird but I find doing homework is better than going off to a death-ridden Forest." He blurted. Hermione handed me my wand and put hers in her pocket. "Better make sure we got our wands. Some things at the Forest aren't a walk in the park." She said. My eyes widened. "It's not even October 31st and you guys are already nervous." I said, smiling. Harry chuckled. Ron rolled his eyes. "I rather be nervous than mental." He muttered. The weather was a cold blast so I wore my Charlie Brown sweater with my jeans and boots. "Don't worry. We'll all be fine." Harry assured. My cheeks burned red. We left the dormitory and through the portrait hole. Nobody was getting suspicious due to being in and out of Hogwarts for strolls or visiting Hogsmeade. We walked side by side to the opened doors. No one made eye contact with Filch gratefully. I breathed a breath of relief. "Phew! That was close." I said. Hermione looked at me confusedly. "What do you mean?" She asked. Ron smirked. "She means we escaped Filch before he could get suspicious." He told her. Harry smiled. "Anybody remembers the way to the Forest?" He asked. My attention diverted to the same gloomy scenery ahead. "Not hard to find." I quickly said. Hermione nodded in agreement. "We can't let anyone spot us. Keep walking and don't look back." She whispered. We continued walking and ignored other housemates till our feet touched the ground. Harry looked back then at us. "Ok. Now." He whispered, pulling out the invisible cloak and wrapped it around us. From its view, the scenery was still the same except nobody could see us. Cool!! I smiled widely. "We're so using this for pranks later!" I squealed. Ron chuckled. "Same here!" He added. Hermione rolled her eyes and smiled. "Always in for mischief." She muttered. Got it from my Marauder Mom. We held the cloak up as we walked to the Forest. It got eerily quiet with the sky's cloudiness. A raven crow on a nearby tree squawked. It startled us for a second. It suddenly flew off. Ron breathed a breath of relief. Crows usually signal the trouble but I'll keep that to myself. Harry was confused. "That was odd wasn't it?" He asked. I scoffed. "It's Hogwarts. Anything is odd or strange." I whispered. Hermione looked around curiously. "Honestly, I was expecting creatures taking us by surprise. Everything seems actually peaceful and quiet." She whispered. Ron looked around confusedly. "A little too quiet." He whispered. Suddenly, my foot landed on something hard in the dirt. Hm. What's that? I stopped walking and moved my feet a little. That hard object was still there. They shared confusion. "Are you ok Sky?" Harry asked. I looked down at the dirt. "I think I stepped on something very hard." I told him. Hermione pointed where my feet stood. "There?" She asked. I nodded. Ron rolled his eyes. "What could be in the dirt? Other than bloody trash?" He asked sarcastically. We backed away from the spot and crouched down our knees. "Let's do this." I said, smirking. Harry smiled as we started removing the dirt and twigs. My hand felt that same hardness. I cautiously pulled it out and wiped off the dirt. Our jaws dropped. A brightly silver necklace with a red emblem in the middle. It would look really pretty if the sky wasn't so cloudy. "What is that?" Ron whispered. I shrugged. "Don't know." I said.
Hermione's brain clicked. "Looks like something I remembered reading about in a History of Magic book! Let's bring it back to the dorm!" She whispered/yelled. Harry put the necklace inside his pocket. We got up and brushed ourselves off. The cloak still covered us when we ran through the forest and back to the castle.

Back in our dorm, Hermione decided we find answers about the necklace tomorrow. It laid on our nightstand. The light made the emblem shimmer for a second. Brianna stared at it in awe. "Who would throw away such a pretty necklace?" She asked. I cleared my throat and raised an eyebrow. "The same necklace from the Forbidden Forest. We have no idea what it is or what it does." I sassed. She scoffed. "Quit complaining Sky. Nothing seems bad about this necklace." She said. Hermione closed her book and huffed. "Skylar's right. We can't do anything till we know anything." She agreed. Three books were sprawled around her bed. She must be trying to find answers about it. Brianna studied the emblem. "Hm. The gem's red like our house color." She mentioned. She isn't wrong. The emblem shown a proudly red shade. Hermione sighed deeply. "No use. We'll need to find answers in the library tomorrow." She told me. I fake smiled and crossed my arms. "Tell it to the books you borrowed." I sassed. She rolled her eyes before putting them in our nightstand. We didn't watch Brianna touch the emblem with her finger. BOOM! Red flairs of smoke exploded, creating an image of a red shadowy figure. It let out a freaky roar. We screamed frantically. What the hell is this?! Brianna protected her face with a pillow. It roared evilly again and disappeared back inside the emblem. A moment of silence was present including our pounding heartbeats. Brianna put her hand over hers dearly and backed away. "Ok. Keep that thing away from me." She said shakily. I backed away nervously. "Debating whether to sleep in the common room." I added. She grabbed her blankets and began leaving. "Where are you going Bri?" Hermione asked confusedly. "To sleep in the common room." She told her while shutting the door.

Brianna slept in the common room the whole night after dinner. The necklace was still in my pocket when we came to the library. I sat between Harry and Ron as Hermione brought another book to the table. History of Magic. Harry raised an eyebrow weirdly. "A shadowy figure appeared?" He asked. I quickly nodded. Ron nodded in understanding. "That's why Brianna slept in the common room." He said. I huffed irritatingly. "Shameful I didn't join." I muttered. Harry laughed. "Ha! Now you know it feels when to be scare-pranked!" He teased. Scare-pranked? Me? I pouted. "Impossible." I muttered. Ron smirked teasingly. Hermione cleared her throat and flipped three pages. "Ok! This book could have the answer about the necklace." She said. I smiled innocently. "In that case, why don't you wear it?" I asked sarcastically. She returned the gesture. "Skylar, I'm not dumb." She sassed. The boys low-key chuckled. I huffed. Hermione flipped another page and skimmed through a few sentences till her finger laid on the title 'Griffonstone Treasure.' "Yes! I knew it! The necklace is an ancient treasure of Griffonstone!" She whispered. We stared at the page confusedly. "What?" We asked in unison. She groaned quietly. "Oh honestly, don't you three read?" She asked. I looked back at the emblem in my pocket which made me tremble. Something's weird about this thing but I need to know. "What else?" I asked. She sighed. "Years ago, wizarding pirates who used to sail across London sea in search for pureblood families's treasure. In translation, steal it for the person who held most hatred for pureblood supremacy is Captain Danielson Flint. The Captain and his pirates invaded a pureblood family ball in Europe, attacking with armored weapons and stole their riches." She read. Our eyes widened. Ron raised an eyebrow in shock. "Bloody hell!" He whispered. These pirates must've hated them with a passion. "And the necklace?" Harry asked. "Flint wanted to protect the riches so he created a necklace, made with silver hippogriff teeth and a red diamond before spelling it with a threatening curse. Anyone who touches the diamond, becomes a crazed maniac." She finished. I pulled out the necklace and placed it on the table. We quickly backed away in sudden fear. Ron gulped. "You mean to say if we touch the diamond, someone goes mental?!" He whispered/yelled. Hermione sighed. "Unfortunately. But let's be grateful nobody has touched the emblem." She said. I breathed a breath of relief till my brain clicked. Suddenly, most of our housemates were whispering and running out the library. We shared confusion. "What's happening?" Ron asked worriedly. I sighed nervously. "I think I know." I muttered shakily.

We rushed through the Hall and found all our different year housemates riding on the staircase whispering or talking concernedly. We looked at each other worriedly but carefully ran pass a few kids. "What's going on?!" I asked frantically. Seamus sighed. "There's been an attack in the common room. It's only three people inside." He told us. Our eyes widened. "Excuse me? Excuse me, I'm Prefect!" We heard Percy walking through the crowd and walked up to Fat Lady's portrait. Soon an elderly recognizable voice echoed through the crowd. "Excuse me, excuse me!" He told them. We backed against the railings as Headmaster Dumbledore came up with Filch. "Fat Lady, tell me what's happened." He demanded calmly. She hid behind the portrait cow, weeping fearfully. "Three kids sir! Three kids are being attacked! They're being attacked by this little girl!" She told him. Everyone chatted confusedly. "Who ma'am?" He asked. The portrait pushed open, making her scream horrifically. Our jaws dropped in shock. Brianna (up top). The kids she mentioned ran past screaming. She smiled evilly, gripping a knife. Everyone screamed fearfully and ran down the staircase. "Sir, we can explain!" Harry panicked. I nodded. "Yes! Brianna's cursed!" I told him. Dumbledore nodded in understanding. "Filch, get Professor McGonagall and keep the children in the Great Hall. Lock the doors too." He ordered. He nodded and rushed downstairs. Brianna giggled wickedly. Ron looked at her fearfully. Hermione grabbed my arm gently. "Remember? She's only bewitched to protect the necklace! We have to get an antidote!" She yelled. Dumbledore sent two messages with his Patronus charm. "Now, four of you head to the Hall. Skylar, hand me the necklace." He commanded. What?! She'll accidentally hurt him if she sees it! My eyes widened. "But sir- he cut me off. "Hand me the necklace. Don't worry." He said and winked. I sighed, pulling out the necklace and gave it to him. Harry held my hand as we ran downstairs to the Hall. My only hope is they'll fix it all. Hang on Brianna.
