Last day. Who knew? Everything could happen even after the first day. The moment my alarm clock ringed I knew this was the last day before Christmas break. Somehow it felt like it was yesterday. Never thought nothing amazing happened. Of course it did! The best part is having my three friends including everyone I've met in my house. It was 8am. We're supposed to get on the Hogwarts Express by 10am later. There was my two suitcases as I put more of my belongings back. A bag of my makeup/accessories was zipped up. I stopped for a moment and pulled out my phone. I went through the gallery, swiping through silly pictures. One of me and Hermione throwing snowballs, another is Ron and I jugging down bottles of pumpkin juice. Last but not least me and Harry studying near the Black Lake. My cheeks burned hotter with my knees weakening a little. My stomach rumbled of insane butterflies. God, what is this feeling? I inhaled a deep breath and swiped another. This one of insects and whip cream all over Ron. He seemed to be cringing while disgusted. I covered my mouth to snicker. Another was a video of me and Harry playfully dancing to Candy. Oh man! If anyone saw this- I pressed play and watched. The whole time I couldn't stop snickering. He laughed while jumping beside me. Bam! My whole face was turning red and butterflies were filling up my abdomen. Thank goodness my knees weren't weakening. I sighed happily and paused the video so I can finish packing. Hermione visited the library and Brianna was giving her goodbyes to a friend. Aka the Slytherin girl. Her two luggages were already packed. The weather was very much sunny and seemed to get a little warm. Although, snow in New York is entirely different. Thankfully, my beanie was in my bag. "Sky!" That familiar voice called. I turned to see Harry, Ron and Hermione. I smiled sadly. "Hey." I said. They returned the gesture and walked up to me. "Feels weird. Like yesterday, we barely knew each other but now..." Ron trailed off. I nodded in agreement. "Wish it kept going longer." I muttered. Hermione patted my shoulder and smiled. "Never got to say this on Thanksgiving but I'm thankful to have you as a friend." She told me. Ron returned the gesture. "So am I." He agreed. I smiled warmly. Harry smirked teasingly. "Don't forget me." He joked. We chuckled. I inhaled a deep breath. "Wish we could see each other every day." I spoke. Hermione scoffed. "Of course! We'll send letters during break and New Year's. We'll never lose touch." She assured. Ron hummed in response. "Perhaps we oughta use phones instead of writing." He joked. Harry and I chuckled. She huffed. "Shut up." She whispered in his ear. He stuck his tongue out. "Where's Brianna?" Harry asked. I raised an eyebrow knowingly. "Ah." He mumbled in understanding. It was great to go home but at the same time I was going to miss them terribly. Unknowingly, we group hugged each other. "Honestly, this is beyond cheesy." Ron blurted out. Hermione stepped on his foot. He yelped in slight pain. We laughed and parted. "Let's grab breakfast! Who's starving?" I asked. No one raised their hands but Ron. "Oh Merlin." She muttered annoyedly.

During breakfast, we talked and laughed over silly things. Two hours went by really quickly before the clock chimed. We carried our luggage downstairs and past the portrait hole. The Fat Lady smiled sweetly. "Have a happy Christmas!" She squealed. I returned the gesture and waved. We got off the rotating staircase and made our way to the boats where Hagrid was patiently waiting. I smiled widely. "We get to ride these back?! Cool!" I cheered. Harry laughed. "Yeah!" He agreed. The boat consisted of me, Hermione, Harry and Ron. Brianna rode another with two Gryffindor girls to the Hogsmeade Station. It was brightly beautiful as we flew levitating across the lake. I lifted one finger and felt a drop of water. "Wow!" I whispered, smiling. Harry couldn't help but smile warmly. The boats stopped, letting everyone get on the ground. The Hogwarts Express train was in sight. Our whole house headed towards the entry but we walked behind. Hermione sighed. "Another train ride huh?" She asked. I stepped inside after Ron and made eye contact with Harry. He smiled and looked at the castle. "Only a vacation..." He trailed off. I returned the gesture. "For two weeks." I finished. She smirked. We found an empty compartment as the train rode off and talked, played games on my tablet, goof off before we saw our families at King Cross Station.
