Spencer's POV

I carried Rose's unconscious body into a chamber of our castle, laying her gently on the silk-covered bed. She looked so... peaceful. Like a sleeping princess.

But soon, she would wake up as my queen.

Grandfather entered, holding a potion in one hand and his wand in the other.

"So this potion will make her fall in love with me?" I asked, watching as he swirled the thick, dark liquid.

"Not only that," he smirked. "She will forget her past and become evil—one of us. And when the time is right, we will use her to take revenge on the Cinderella family."

I glanced down at Rose, her golden hair spilling over the pillow. She looked so pure, so innocent.

I hesitated. "You really hate her family that much?"

His eyes darkened. "Because of them, we were banished to this cursed place. Forced to live in shadows while they ruled in the light!" His grip on his wand tightened. "But now, we'll take everything from them. Starting with her."

I pushed away the small flicker of doubt. It didn't matter. Rose would wake up, and she'd love me.

"Then let's do it," I said, my voice firm.

Leth poured the potion over his wand and pointed it at Rose. A green mist swirled around her, seeping into her skin. Her blonde hair darkened to jet black.

"Did it work?" I asked, my heart pounding.

Grandfather smirked. "Her hair changing color is a sign... but we'll know for sure when she wakes up."

He left, and I stayed, holding her hand.

"Soon," I whispered, brushing a strand of black hair from her face, "you'll be mine."

Ling Ling's POV

The ceremonial hall was eerily quiet as we sat, waiting.

It had been a full day. Rose was still missing.

Ambrosia walked past us and winked at Hawk.

Hawk barely spared her a glance—just a sharp, cold glare that made her smirk falter. She hurried away.

"This doesn't make sense," I muttered, breaking the silence.

"I know," Astoria said, shaking her head. "It's not like Rose to just run away."

"You don't think the Snow Queen took her, do you?" Joy asked, worry lacing her voice.

We exchanged glances.

"No," Hawk said quickly. "No. We can't think that."

"Yeah, maybe she went shoe shopping and got locked inside the store," Travis suggested.

We all turned to him with blank stares.

"What? It could happen!" he defended.

Astoria sighed. "I highly doubt that."

Before we could say more, Headmistress Cinderella and Professor Snow White entered the hall.

"All of you," Cinderella said, her voice serious. "Come with us. Now."
