Note from Crona: I didnt feel like writing about the lovebirds adventures on thursday, so this chapter begins on Friday. Hope you like it!:)
CHAPTER SEVEN
Kaito had refused to tell Kiyoshi any of the details of the details of their date. Kiyoshi asked repeatedly throughout calculus, but Kaito remained quiet. "You'll just have to wait for tonight," he told his boyfriend.
Kiyoshi couldn't stand the thought of having to wait all day for their date to come. He'd wanted it yesterday and the day before, but he couldn't have it. He just had to wait for 7p.m. to come.
Art class always made Kiyoshi feel better. He sat alone, in the back of the class, but was perfectly content with himself. He especially loved getting to draw Kaito for his assignment.
He'd finished the outline the day before and had just begun shading the picture. It was spectacular. Somehow Kiyoshi was able to capture all of Kaito's beauty into one drawing, and he was pretty proud of it too. He couldn't wait to see the smile on Kaito's face when he saw what Kiyoshi drew.
French class had pretty much destroyed Kiyoshi's happiness. Mlle Sereau had given them a pop quiz, which Kiyoshi had evidentially failed. Maybe Kaito could tutor him. He'd already taken three years of French and had gotten straight A's. How does he do it?
Kiyoshi was very annoyed when he heard two girls whispering behind him. In fact, they weren't really whispering since he could hear every word they were saying. It was just the usual gossip; Kaito's love life, the last boy Kate Turner had slept with, et cetera. Then Kiyoshi heard something knew.
"I heard he's gay," a girl named Amanda Howl said. "Which one?" the girl named Terri Carthur asked. Amanda pointed at Kiyoshi. "It was him."
Kiyoshi just pretended he hadn't heard that. He refused to believe that Kaito would've told anyone his sexuality. After all, they were the only ones that knew. Unless Kaito had told Sophie Dale. But it didn't matter, because either way it had been Kaito's fault.
Throughout all of American history, Mrs.Fat had just played videos for the students to watch and take notes. Kiyoshi ignores them completely. He was too busy stuffing his face into his scarf and crying to care about anything.
Kiyoshi couldn't hide his tear stained face at lunch.
Kaito was already sitting at a table with a group of his friends. He smiled when he saw Kiyoshi, but it quickly turned into a frown when he saw his boyfriends's tears.
Kiyoshi no longer cared. He sat alone at empty table that was as far from Kaito he could get. He didn't even care that Kaito had his lunch. He just wouldn't eat that day.
"Can I sit with you?" a girl's voice asked. Kiyoshi looked up and saw that it was Sophie Dale. "NO!" he wanted to scream, but he knew that would just attract attention to himself. So instead he said, "Sure, go ahead."
Sophie sat down at the seat right next to Kiyoshi's. There were a few moments when she had just stared at him before eating her lunch.
"Aren't you gonna eat anything?" she asked. "No," Kiyoshi answered with a sigh. "Well why not?" she asked. "And why were you crying so much?"
"What has Kaito told you about me?" Kiyoshi demanded to know. Sophie just blinked. "He doesn't tell me anything about you. By the way, do you know who his boyfriend is?"
"What?" Kiyoshi almost yelled. "Oh no! Maybe I shouldn't have said that! I just thought you would've known since you're best friends with Kaito. Please don't tell him I told you!" Sophie begged. She look panicked, but Kiyoshi didn't understand. He thought Sophie must've had to do with the rumors spreading about him.
"Don't worry, I won't be telling Kaito anything for awhile," Kiyoshi said.
"THANK YOU!" Sophie exclaimed, before realizing what he meant. She looked down in sorrow. "He's why your so sad, isn't it?"
She didn't even have to ask. She knew the answer was yes.
That was the end of Kiyoshi and Sophie's conversation. Soon enough lunch ended and they both left.
In biology they were learning about the reproductive system. Kiyoshi was still crying, and people were giving him weird looks. He heard one guy say, "Aw, the fag's crying 'cause he ain't ever gonna get a woman to have sex with 'em."
"SHUT UP, B*TCH!" Kiyoshi screamed at him. This was proof that he was very upset. Kiyoshi rarely cussed, and when he did you knew something was up.
"Casper!" the teacher yelled. "That's a detention!"
Kiyoshi frowned. Never had he ever gotten a detention. He was always the quiet and innocent one in the class. That would change. Especially with all the rumors going around.
Study hall was exhausting. Kiyoshi couldn't do anything without people staring and whispering. He pretended not to notice, but inside he felt like someone had stabbed him in the back. He felt betrayed. By Kaito.
All of Kiyoshi's classes felt like torture. He was so relieved when the bell rang. School was finally over.
More people ran into Kiyoshi than usually. Many of them yelled "Faggot!" as they walked by. Kiyoshi tried to ignore them, but he couldn't. "B*tches!" he yelled at them.
He got his stuff as quick as he could. He wanted to leave before Kaito had the chance to find him. He put on his coat and started off toward the back door. To his dismay, Kaito was there waiting for him.
Kiyoshi ignored him and stomped right out the door. He wanted to make it very clear he was angry. But before he got too far someone began screaming for him.
"Kiyo!" It was Kaito. Kiyoshi wanted nothing to do with that damn jerk. He was done. They were done.
Kaito just continued calling for Kiyoshi, and damn, he wanted to answer him so badly! But he just couldn't. Not after what happened. He didn't even know what to think anymore.
"Kiyo, honey, please answer me." Kaito reached his hand out to touch Kiyoshi's shoulder, but Kiyoshi moved quickly out of range.
Kiyoshi didn't even glance back before he left Kaito, standing alone. All alone.
CRONA: Writing this chapter may or may not have killed me a little *tear* but you can't have a relationship with no fights (btw, this is where the fight begins if you didn't already get that part) anyway, please vote/comment! Tell me how much you wanted to cry because Kiyoshi and Kaito may or may not have just broken up, and because people are just so mean to Kiyo! I love my little Kiyo SO SO MUCH but every story needs some drama. This is mine.
Until next time, goodbye my friends!:)
