Madeline POV

When scarlett opened the door rose and colin were already waiting for us to come in. I'm nervous but like really nervous. "Mommy!" Rose squeals and jumps in scarlett's arms. While they say theor hellons colin takes his chance to greet me and jackson "hey jackson it's nice to finaly see you in real life" he says and my heart drops a little ofcourse he already met jackson, the child she wanted. "Madeline it's really nice to meet you i'm colin your mom's fiancé" he says and i just shake his hand and say a quick hello. Before i can do or say dolething else i feel a small body around my legs looking up at me. It took me by surprise but it was kinda nice i guess "are you my sister?" She asks and i nod "yes i am. I'm madeline" i say and she makes grabby hands so i pick her up "whatns your name little cutie" i ask her "it's rose" she answers in her cute little voice. "See mommy i told you she would like me" rose says and my heart drops to the pit of my stomach. Did she really tell the kid i wouldn't like her? I guess she didn't want me to meet her after all. "Hey i've got an idea why don't you show me your pretty princess toys" i try to sound as exited as i could but it sure as hell wasn't convincing for anyone who knew me. "Yayy come on!" She screams and i let her take me away.

Jackson POV

I couldn't believe what i heard, she told rose madeline wouldn't like her. That was probably the most stupid thing ever because i know madeline and she feels really bad about that. Scarlett also knows how hard it has been for madeline to give her a chance so i don't understand why she would day that to rose. "Did you really say that?" I ask her angrily and i can see the sadness all over her face "no i didn't. I just kept making up excuses to rose why madeline couldn't cole to the phone because i didn't want them to meet like that but she tought i said that because she wouldn't like her" she says sadly "you better let her know that. You know how hard it's been for mads to open up to you and i'm sure she'll try to push you away" i say and she nods. "Come on i'll show you your room and then i'll show maddi hers" she says and i grab my bags and follow her.

Scarlett POV

When rose said that i saw madline's face change and i knew it hurt her. I didnnt even say that i just kept telling rose excuses because she kept askkng to meet maddi but i didn't want them to meet trough the phone. But i guess this did more damage to our relationship than i tought because jackson told me she'll try to push me away but i won't let her.

When we walk to jackson's new room we pass rose's room and when i look inside i see the most beautiful vieuw, my two daughters sitting on the ground playing dolls together. "She's always loved playing dolls" i hear jackson whisper from beside me. "When we were little she and jade  always forced me and madon to okay dolls with them" he says and he chickles a bit. "Your room is this one here next to rose's room" i say as i walk into the room. "I know it's not much but tolorrow i'll take you and your sister to the store so you can choose things to decorate" i say and he nods. When i walk back to rose's room to get madeline i hear the two of them talking and ofcourse le being as curious as i am i listen.

Madeline POV

Rose is and absolute dream, i understand why scarlett actualy wants her instead of me. We were playing dolls until she suddenly asked something. "Why didn't you meet me trough the phon sissy?" She asks and i think about it. I cannt just say 'your mom didn't want me to meet you' so i just lie to her "well little bean everytime you called i was a busy with some schoolwork so i didn't have time to meet you. But i'm glad i met you line this for the first time otherwise i wouldn't have been able to hug you" i say and she thinks about it "i line that to because you give the best hugs" she says in her cute voice and i smile "come her little one" i say while i open my arms and she sits in my lap. "Why we're you living somewhere else and not here with mommy?" She asks. Damn this kid is deep in tought i think to myself. "Why do you ask little one?" I ask back not really having an anwser to that. "Well most kids live with their mommoy's but mommy said ther you and brother lived in a castle somewhere else" she says and i think about that. "Well little one i don't know what to say to that. Something happened and me and jackson went somewhere else, we didn't have a momy there but my brother always took care of me so your mama could come here to take care of you. Does that make any sense?" I try to explain and she thinks about it and nods. Just as she was about to say anything else scarlett walks in "hey i just wanted to show you your room so you can get settled in" she says and i give her a nod.

Scarlett POV

When i heard them talking i tought it was beautiful how careful madeline was with her words and how sweet she was. Then rose asked her why she lived somewhere else and the answer was something that really broke my heart. Hearing her say that they went away so i could take care of her, she doesn't think that i didn't want them does she? I was scared that rose would ask another such question so i walked in to prevent that. When i told her i'd show her to her room she just nodded with a blank expression and i knew we took a step back in our relationship. I gave madeline the room at the end of the hall not to far from where mine and colins room is because i like to keep her close but also give her a bit of distance.

As we walked in a saw her looking around "i've told jackson aswell that tomorrow we'll go shopping so you can choose how you want to decorate it" i sai and she just shrugs not even looking at me. I knew we took a step back but i didn't think it was to no speaking again. Then i got the perfect idea to cheer her up i'll ask robert and lizzie to come and help putting together their rooms, i'm sure lizzie will cheer her up.

Hi i'm sorry for not updating yesterday. I went bowling with my family and fell asleep after, because i nomally update before i go to sleep, and than today i went to my horse so i wasn't on my phone much but i'll upload two chapter to make up for it.

First step back in their relationship. How will they fix this, will madeline forgive scarlett or will her wall be higher than they were before?
