To say Madelines song was good would be the understatement of the year.

She kept getting complemented by everyone telling her how great it was and how beautifull and thoughtfull it was she put their romance knto a song.

Scarlett and Colin had given her the lingesg hugs and a few kisses on top of her head just to show her how gratefull they were.

Just as someone else was going to tell her how amazing it was Florence stepped in front of her girlfriend.

"Dance with me please?" Florence asks while holding out her hand as a slow song came on.

Their bodies fot together like they were made for eachother.

And honestly they probably were.

Florence's hands were steady at Madelines waist while her arms were wrapped losely arpund her neck.

The whole day they hadn't been able to keep their hands of each other, but they had to keep it civilised because they weren't alone.

At least not yet.

Madeline had made it into a fun game of seekng how much she could tease Florence before she would actually lose control of herself. And be assured she wasn't olanning on stopping.

"You did really great my love. I'm so proud of you" Florence tells her and Madeline smiles.

"Thanks angel. Did you think i looked good up there?" Madeline asks with a playfull hint in her tone.

"You have been looking amazing all day long. I mean you always look good and i can never keep my eyes off you but today, in that dress. You look illigal" Florence answers, her eyes tracing Madelines body as she does and Madeline can see her eyes darkening slightly.

This was her opening.

She leans in close, to everyone around rhem it looks just like two girlfriends enjoying their dance. But her lips brush Florence's earlobe and she preses a featherlight kiss there.

"Well you angel look amazing in that dress. Although i can't wait to take it off you tonight" Madeline whispers in her ear and she can feel Florences hands tightening around her waist so she knows she was succesfull.

"Love you can't say things like that in public to me" Florence points out and Madeline pulss back a bit. Just enough to come face to face with her, the distance minimum between them.

"Ofcourse i can. I just did" Madeline says and a smirk plays on her lips.

Florence tries to kiss away that gein from her lips but Madeline knew she'd do that so she was able to pull away in time.

"Easy there angel. You wouldn't wanna get carried away with all these people around now would you?" She keeps teasing and Florence groans.

"You're gonna be the death of me someday but atleast i'll die happy" Florence says and Madeline chuckles.

As the slow dance ends Madeline gives in and presses a kiss to her lips before leaving the floor.

She was walking around the venue for a bit as everyone else was dancing and chatting away.

She had found a bench on the hill not far from where the isle had been several hours ago.

It looked over a big piece of land that maid after it and it was absolutely beautifull.

Madeline was so lost in thoughts that she didn't hear someone walking up to her until they sat down beside her.

She turned her head to the side to look, even though she'd recognize that lavender scent anywhere.

"Are ypu having fun?" Scarlett asks

"It's your big day, i should be asking you that" Madeline answers as she leans into Scarletts side.

She immidiatly put her arm around Madelines shoulders to savor the touch.

For a minute neither of them spoke, until one of them did.

"Can i tell you somthing important?" Madeline asks in a low, almost shy voice wich makes Scarlett kiss her head and pull her closer.

"You can tell me anything baba" Scarlett answers calmly while inside she's having a little stress moment.

"I forgive you mama. I know i said i never would but i do" Madeline whispers so low that if you weren't listening you would've never heard it.

That immidaitly brings tears to Scarlett's eyes.

"Mama..? You called me mama, you realise that right?" Scarlett asks her, wanting to know what was up woth that.

"Yeah i know. You are my mama right? And i feel like i'm ready to let go of the past and move on. I know there's still a lot you don't know about that yet and i can tell you if you want. I feel like i've grown a lot this past year and i'm ready to open up, to let you in and embrace your love. But most importantly i'm ready to forgive what happened in the past." Madeline says.

Towards the end she wipes e tear away from Scarletts face with her thumb.

That was the moment Madeline finally opened up to her mama and told her everything that happened in the past.

Scarlett apologised multiple time despite not being able to change it.

Madeline was very relaxed telling her and calling her mama so she knew it was the right descision.

And eventually they kept talking about other things in life until they had noticed the party being a bit to quiet.

They turned around to look st it and a few people were gone, others were just sitting around chatting, but were two pairs of eyes looking their way.

They laughed at both of their simps and pulled eachother close for a final hug before leaving the bonding bench.

That was a moment Scarlett would never forget.

Her daughter had finally called her mama and that on her special day.

But most importantly she forgave her.

And for now,

That's all that matters.

It's absolutely crazy that this is finished. It took me a mong time but i had an absolute blast writing.
