Madeline POV

We were in the kitchen making some healthy pasta salads and then we started joking around a bit. I took a bit of mayonnaise on my finger and put it on her nose. We had a little saucefight and ended up in a fit of laughter. She then thought it was a good idea to try teasing me about florence "you're such a simp for her" was the first thing she said and i chuckled "ofcourse i am, i mean have you seen her" i answer and she thinks about something else to say but i cut her off "don't pretend you're not a sucker for my dad" i say and nudge her with my elbow. Her face goes completely red and i start laughing "i think you could hide between the tomatoes and i wouldn't find you" i joke and she gives me a sarcastic laugh " god madeline you're so funny" she says and i fake glare at her. After about ten seconds of eye contact we burst out laughing again. "You know this really need some louder music" she says and i agree. I turn the music from my phone up through the speakers outside and we walk out.

Just before we walk out she told me that our lovers are like two puppies who would probably do anything for us. That made me laugh and i put my head on her shoulder as we look at eachother. She looked away first and her face went to uneasy in a second. I was confused at first but then i looked up and saw scarlett glaring at her with a smiling colin beside her. I brush my arm against hers making her look at me and i give her a smile telling her it's okay.

After my not so little rant yesterday she didn't ask about it anymore when i could clearly feel she wanted to. I was relieved that she didn't try and push boundaries and she's waiting for me to trust her and talk about it. But besides from that i think she's angry at her and i don't know if it's about what i accidently told her yesterday or because she has some issues with her but i don't want this tension between them.

Once we reach the table i lean a but closer to her and whisper "if i'm giving her a chance so are you" and we both look to the side, making eye contact. She sighs and nods "fine but i don't like what she did to you yesterday" she tells me and rubs my arm. It was weird, i didn't tense up at the contact, normally i always tense up at conact that's not from dad, lizzie or florence. I was utterly confused and looked shocked at her hand and up to her face. She has a small smile on her face that's oddly comforting.

While we were eating we made some small talk about work and music and all that stuff. I saw scarlett glaring at alycia multiple times but i decided to ignore it not wanting to start any drama right now. She was even more surprised when dad announced they together and the glares got even worse unitl the point i was sick of it. I got up and stopped behind her chair and leaned down a bit "do you think we could talk for a minute?" I ask her and she nods and gets up. I take another glance at the table and see alycia looking at me apologetically. I send her a smile, scilently telling her she doesn't have to be sory, and i move behind scarlett.

We sat down in the sofa and i sighed before starting "look i honestly can't even believe i'm going to do this because i thought that you'd at least be happy for dad. I know it's kinda rude for me to just say it like this and that you might be offended by this but that's not how i mean it. What i'm trying to accomplish here is that i think it would be nice for me and for dad that you give her a chance you know" i tell her and she nods

"yeah sure i guess i'm just a bit salty that she's getting close to you while our relationship is rocky right now. I know it's stupid to be jealous and it's my own fault that we're like this. So if it makes you happy i'll give her a chance" she says and i smile "thanks scarly" i say and give her a hug before getting up. "Are you comming outside with me?" I ask and she shakes her head "i'll go to the bathroom first" she says and i nod.

Once i get back outside the song 'latch' came up and i absolutely love this song. I started dancing beside the table and alycia was laughing at me so i took her hand and pulled her up to dance with me. We were both singing the lyrics and she thand twirled me around. I tripped and stumbled forwards in her arms, i started laughing so hard thta i leant my head on her chest. She wrapped her arms tighter around me and started laughing aswell while she was still swaying a little bit. When i got myself together a saw scarlett watching us from the stairs and she looked like she had just been slapped in the face. I pulled away from alycia and made my way to where she was standing with a stupid grin on my face. I looked at her and then held my hand out and made a stupid bow "m'lady would you like to dance with me?" I ask faking an accent and she chuckled "it would be my honor" she replied and took my hand in hers with a big smile on her face.

It was getting later and we moved to the place that dad set up when i was gone. There we're beanbags, a hammock and two small sofas. We started talking and somehow ended up on the topic of boyfriends. Ofcourse there was me not thinking about what i was saying and then the next thing came out "you know jade sent me a message that her boyfriend gets all clingy when he's in the mood" i blurt out and i can see the shock on scarlett's face and the amusement on the rest of their faces. And just when i was about to say something else to move on alycia speaks up. "Is florence like that aswell?" She asks me and i choke on my own spit and both mine and florence's eyes widen. I didn't dare to look at scarlett because i know she'll be dissapointed i didn't tell her but if florence wasn't ready than it wasn't my choice to make. After a while i recover and my face is red "uhm i don't know we haven't been there yet" i mutter and take a quick glance at scarlett and i could see the hurt and dissapointment on her face.

This time it was me who screwed up.

Do you ever get that when you have so many ideas in your head and then when you try to write them they turn out like shit?
Well i had that with some parts of this chapter and i don't really know what to think about it.
