Madeline POV

Tomorrow is the last day jade and mason are in NY and i feel like crying about it all day long. Having them here with me for almost two weeks made me realise how much more i miss them then i realise. When i notice my mood getting down from thinking about it i quickly snap out of it and decide to make the best out of today.

I go down to get sole water and meet scarlett and colin in the kitchen looking at stuff for the wedding. "Goodmorning, oohhh wedding stuff can i see?" I ask excited and both of them chickle and nod. They were looking at some venue's and cakes and all that stuff. "Hey when is the wedding actually?" I ask them and they share a look "well we haven't picked a date yet because i moght start filming something soon" scarlett answers and u humm in response " well let me know in time so i can prepare myself for it" i tell her and she looks confused. I just shake my head because no one knows that i'm planning on writing a song about them for the wedding. Over the last few days we all spent together i noticed the little things colin does for her and i got some odeas for a song. He also makes her happy so i've already come to terms with him being my step-dad.

I saw scarlett looking at me and i knew she was looking if a would take something to eat so i took an apple and showed it to her before walking away.

When i got upstairs jade was still sleeping so i decided to try and write somthing in the meantime. When i opened my notebook i saw a sentence i wrote when i first stayed with lizzie after me and scarlett's fight. 'Wished you said you loved me when ypu didn't have your fingers crossed'. Just that one sentence brought back some memories, only not about the fight. It took me back to my past when i kept putting myself aside to keep e relationship with a boy i didn't even like.

I got lost in writing and i didn't botice jade waking up and reading over my shoulder until i heard her speaking up "that's a really good song. Is it about he who shall not be named?" She asks and i just nod. "Well that's the first thing your recording when we leave and i want to be the first one to hear it" she says and i chuckle "of ourse you'll be the first one to hear" i tell her and she laughs.

We talked for a while and then we got ready for today. It's really warm outside so we're going to the park for a water fight. The only thing is tha adults don't know it yet so it'll be a nice surprise. We told them to wear white t-shirts and some comfortable shorts, they were suspicious but they agreed. Now we're only waiting for robert, chris and lizzie to arrive so we can get going.

It's a short walk to the park so we get there in no time and the adults starts asking what we're going to do. All thise questions stop once they see us pulling water guns out and their eyes go wide. "No no no" scarlett protest but we start laughing and nod "we're doing this" lizzie days and eventually she gives in.

We fill the guns with water and put some coloring in it. The teams were kids against adults and colin was on the sidelines since they were with one person more. We got blue and they got red, we went in the bushes and colin whisteled starting the game.

Jade and jackson went after chris and robert and me and mason were after lizzie and scarlett. We talked about a strategy and i was hidden in a bush and mason was going to get them over here. Once i saw mason running and heard the two of them comming closer i got ready, i hit them right when they passed and they were completely blue and we were almost completely white.

We heard colin whistle signaling the game was over and we started pur victory dance once we saw chris and robert were as blue as a smurf.

Then all of a sudden i felt water soaking me and colin was laughing so hard until he saw the smirk on my face and realised what i was going to do.

Scarlett POV

Lizzie and i soaked madeline when she started her victory dance and when she heard colin laughing so loud i saw her smirking and his face changed quickly. "No madeline you don't have to do that" he tries but she starts laughing and chasing him. I couldn't help but smile at how well they get along. I've noticed that she's closer with colin than jackson is but i don't mind, i know he's not their father and maybe jackson's having a harder time accepting him.

Madeline finaly cought him and jumped in his arms soaking him completely, both of them laughing, and she was holding onto him like a monkey not plainning to let go. Colin just smiled and held her up by her thighs and she rested her head on his shoulder.

At that moment my heart was complete and filled with happiness.
