Crystal looked at Candy, who was also in disbelief.
"Was that-" Crystal stood up.
"It can't be..." Candy looked at Crystal.
They both looked back towards where the voice came from. It came from where the now burning tree house was. Candy sprinted in the direction as fast as she could, with Crystal right on her tail.
When they got to the tree house, the blaze had grown and spread to nearby trees, but that wasn't what Candy and Crystal were focused on. They were focused on what was in front of them.
A buff, larger-than-most Jolteon was there, staring at the fiery inferno in front of him, holding his head with his paws.
"PEPE! PEPE ARE YOU STILL IN THERE????" he called out in a worried and panicked tone.
"No, we saved her. Well, more like Candy did." Crystal said, smirking.
The Jolteon turned around, and stepped backwards out of shock, almost stepping on the fire, but Crystal grabbed him by the white fur on his neck and pulled him back.
"I-I cannot believe it! You're here! YOU'RE HERE, YOU'RE HERE, YOU'RE HERE! But wait, isn't it now like, illegal for us to meet? Hmm..." The Jolteon said.
"Classic Zappy, always over thinking!" she patted the Jolteon on the back hard.
"Easy, you don't wanna get in a fight with the one and only champeon, do ya?" Zappy questioned Candy.
"Haha, easy you two!" she pushed them away from each other and they laughed.
"Wait, why are you guys even here?" Zappy questioned. "A visit? To say hi to Blaze? Well, if you are here for the second one, sorry, but he left us.....the traitor.." Zappy brushed away some burned dirt, angry.
"We were already told about how Blaze left you two by Pepe." Candy told Zappy. "And we are here because of my idiot of a sist-"
Crystal elbowed Candy in the stomach before she could finish, and Candy fell over, holding her stomach and wincing at the pain.
"We are here because I found this-" she handed Zappy the piece of paper and he read it to himself.
His eyes widened and he fanquitcly turned the paper over, his eyes racing over every inch of the paper.
"WHAT?!?!?! WHERE IS THE OTHER PIECE? WHERE IS THE REST OF IT???" Zappy yelled in a panic as he continued to check the paper quickly, trying to find the rest of it.
"When I found it, it was missing." she told Zappy. "But, I think it was meant to be that way. Anyways, the main reason we are here is to gather the family once again." She pulled out the family photo and pointed at Zappy on it. "And you are one of them, along with me, Candy, and Pepe."
"How do you know that we are the 8 chosen heroes, hm?" Zappy questioned.
"That is exactly what I asked! She is just so bored of this that she is making up her own fantasies!" Candy replied.
"Shut up, Candy!" Crystal yelled to Candy. "What are the chances that you would have jumped onto the table, scared me, sent my diary flying, then I just so happened to find a piece of paper that talks about eight heroes taking down the bad guy and ending the war? And it describes all of us very well!" she smirked again, thinking she had convinced them.
Candy was silent.
"You are right! It describes everyone in the family really well! But, there are nine of us, not eight. Who isn't part of the prophecy?" Zappy questioned.
"Personally, I think it is Cryst-" Another elbow to the stomach hit Candy again, but this time by Zappy.
"You're welcome, Crystal!" Zappy said, snickering.
"Haha! Well, we think it is the one who started this stupid war! Hewa...."
"Hewa...."
"My stomach..." Candy whispered to herself in immense pain.
"Well, I need to fix the tree house, not go on some adventure that may fail. Sorry, Crystal..." Zappy sighed and looked back to the fire and started kicking dirt at it, putting it out slowly.
"But Zappy-"
"YOU CAN BE THE ONE TO HIT THE FINAL BLOW!" Candy blurted out all of a sudden.
Zappy turned back around to face them, a small smile growing bigger.
"Fixing the tree house can wait!" he said to them. "But putting out this fire can't! Let's take this fire DOWN!" He turned back to see the huge blaze, almost fully surrounding them, and gets into an attacking stance.
"You're welcome!" Candy whispered into Crystal's ear as she got up and got into a fighting stance, ready to fight this inferno.
Crystal angrily mumbled to herself and also got into a fighting stance.
"Time to let this fire burn out."
