Chapter 29: Attack on the Heartbroken

Zappy started to charge towards Phantom when Storm, Crystal and Pepe held him back.

"YOU MONSTER! YOU BI-BAD PERSON! THAT WAS MY BROTHER YOU POISONED WITH YOUR POTION! I TAKE BACK GIVING YOU MY STORM PIE!" Zappy screamed.

The alley was filled with eyes looking towards them

"Zappy, sh, sh! We can't draw attention to- Wait did you say Storm Pie?" Phantom asked.

Crystal and Pepe couldn't hold onto Zappy anymore and let go, leaving Storm to test his strength versus Zappy's.

"C'mon dude! You gotta hold back! I know you're mad but trust me, it's not gonna fix anything!" He told him, using all his strength to hold Zappy back. "You of all people know this! Be...reasonable!"

"You know, this is like us having to hold you back from hurting anyone else." Zappy realized, stopping for a second. "Do you realize now how annoying and difficult it is?"

Storm lost his guard and stopped pulling, though still held on. That's when Zappy shot spikes from his back and attacked Storm with them.

"ACK!"

He fell backwards, part of his stomach and face covered in his spikes. Zappy charged toward Phantom and pinned him to the ground.

"You lying scumbag! I wish I never came here, never saw you, heck, wish you never even EXISTED!" Zappy growled into Phantom's ear.

"I...I...k-know!" Phantom replied. "I-I-I'm t-t-the worst p-pokemon e-e-ever!"

Zappy opened his mouth to say more, when Pepe interjected.

"Zappy Milk Jolteon." Pepe growled, purple-eyed. "Calm yourself for a simple second."

Zappy stared at Pepe, then growled, "Why should I listen to some crappy...spirit thing taking over my sister's mind every five minutes?!"

"Because I'm making sure your sister isn't seeing your violent outburst! If she is surrounded by violence when she's this age, it'll be normalized, you moron!" Pepe cleared her throat. "And Phantom has been like a brother to you and Blaze-"

"OBVIOUSLY NOT, HE POISONED BLAZE! AND EVEN IF HE WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO ME, THAT MAKES HIS BETRAYAL EVEN MORE PAINFUL FOR ME!!!"

"Yes, but it also means he must have a reason for this and it must've been as painful for him as it is for you..."

Pepe's voice faded as Storm mumbled, "That's your weakness..."

Everyone excluding Pepe turned to look at Storm.

"What?" Zappy asked.

"Your weakness, remember? I thought it was you being overprotective of your friends, but after what just happened..." Storm plucked a long, yellow spike out of his stomach. "Your weakness is only understanding one person's point-of-view, one side of the story, half of the pie; you only understand how you feel in this moment, not how me, Phantom, or even Blaze might feel in this moment. You either only see from your view, not putting yourself into someone else's shoes."

Zappy took that into consideration when Crystal said, "Wow, that is one of the few smart things I've ever heard come out of your mouth, Storm."
