Chapter 37: Meet Ups and Apples

The Eeveelutions were gathered together, attempting to plan how to find and go to Hewa's home, and what they could expect. However, one Eeveelution wasn't there...

M.C. had slipped away while all the others were talking and walked into the nearby forest, stumbling upon a small river. She took a drink from it and looked around.

He said "Meet near a river when they're going". He never remembers these things.. She thought to herself as she found a nearby stump and sat down on it.

"This'll be a while.." She mumbled, curling up into a ball, attempting to sleep, but her thoughts filled her head.

I hate sleeping. It's so boring... How long is he going to take? He should remember that I do not like waiting as much as he dislikes reading... And I have another problem... What are the Eeveelutions going to think when I come back? They'll be even more suspicious of me then they already are, and I can't let that happen...

She was brainstorming on ways to make herself seem less suspicious. That's when something fell onto her head.

She opened her eyes and stood up, looking down to see an apple on the ground. Then, another fell. And another. Suddenly, the sky was raining apples.

"What-" She said, looking up as another apple smacked her in the face, sending her flying off the tree trunk.

"AcK- WHAT IS HAPPENING-" She said, taking cover in a rabbit hole. Eventually, the apples stopped falling, and a small Pokemon fell down instead.

Well, I wouldn't call it falling. The Axew jumped down from above and looked around, and began gathering the apples. M.C. popped out of the hole, startling the small Axew so much so he fell backwards, dropping his apples.

"Oh, sorry!" M.C. said, helping the little Pokemon up and handing some apples to him.

"Thank you!" He replied, picking up even more apples as M.C. watched him carry more than half his body weight in apples.

"Uhm, so, what are you doing, collecting all these apples?" She asked, picking some up and helping the Axew.

"Oh, I just LOVE apples! And so does my family! We eat apples every day for every meal!" He exclaimed happily as he walked over to a nearby tree and shoved the apples into a hole in its bark.

"Oh, I see.." M.C. mumbled, bringing some apples over and putting them in the hole in the tree.

The Axew looked at M.C. "Say, why are you even here? These parts of the woods usually aren't inhabited by many besides my family and I. And I've never seen you around before..."

"o-ohH! I-I'm.. Pepe! I was just.. exploring the nearby area! My friends are planning for their... adventure.. and I just wanted to adventure now! Haha! You know?" M.C. said, sweating.

The Axew stared blankly at her, then smiled happily. "Oh yeah, I get the feeling! I LOVE exploring! I can never wait! Anyway, my name's Yoshi!."

"(Like the video game character-)" M.C. questioned.

"What?"

"Huh? Oh! I said it was a lovely name!"

Yoshi smiled as he began picking up apples, with M.C.'s help. Eventually, they had picked up all the brightly colored apples and put them in the tree.
