Candy set down Pepe right next to a Pecha bush. Her sadness was wiped from her face as she gobbled down the Pecha berries on the bush.
"Pepe? Can you tell us what happened and why you were cowering in a corner?" Candy asked, calmly.
Pepe ignored Candy and continued to eat.
Candy tapped her paw in annoyance, and then repeated herself, "Pepe, can you please tell us what happened? And maybe also why you were cowering in a corner?"
Pepe looked up at Candy, shrugged, then continued to eat a bunch of Pecha berries.
Annoyed, Candy started walking up to Pepe, but Crystal stopped her. "Calm down," Crystal said.
"Do NOT tell me what to do." Candy growled as she walked closer to Pepe, "This is the last time I'm asking, Midget; What. Happened?"
Pepe ignored her as she licked her lips.
"PEPE! TELL US!" Candy screamed at her, annoyed.
Pepe ran behind Crystal and peaked back over to Candy, but hid behind Crystal.
"Pepe, tell us what happened, please." Crystal asked, turning to Pepe.
"Only you..." Pepe told Crystal.
Crystal looked back to Candy, who was looking away from them, upset that she scared Pepe more than she already was.
Crystal turned back to Pepe and laid down next to her.
"Alrighty, then. Tell me, please." she said, gently.
"Well...." Pepe began, "I remember sitting in the tree house, a fixed one, and Blaze came home in a rampage. He mumbled some stuff about an overpriced potion and how he missed and needed someone named Blister. He then turned to me and whispered 'I am leaving. Don't tell Zappy, he will figure it out. Dang Sylveons and Espeons, they kicked you out for no good reason....' He then just, up and left. Zappy came home and told me the same thing about how Blaze left us, and I nodded like I never knew. After 10 months, yesterday, Zappy left to go 'beat up some Espeons' and then something started to tear up the tree house!"
"Hmm.." Crystal pondered "Could you describe its shape?"
Pepe shook her head. "It was too fast, I only got a glimpse at its tail. Yellow and fuzzy."
This confused Crystal. What has a yellow, fuzzy tail and would want to do this? Hm... she thought to herself as Pepe crept over to the berry bush and ate more Pecha berries, watching Candy to make sure she doesn't make a move.
"Pepe, I-" Candy started to say, but she was interrupted.
Not by Crystal.
Not by Pepe.
But someone else.
Someone they would recognize.
"WHAT IN THE THUNDER HAPPENED HERE????"
