"Well, welcome home I guess..." Candy says while walking in the entrance of the old cave with Crystal.

It had taken a while for Candy to convince Crystal they needed to come back and that there was nothing they could do. Crystal was so determined she almost blindly went back to Hewa's castle to fight her herself. Candy used her ribbons to drag her off the property.

Crystal scoffed. "Home. Right."

She drug her paws as she made her way over to the corner she used to sleep in; a pile of now old and crusty leaves laid before her. She plopped herself on top of it and sulked. Candy looked at her, a glimpse of hope in her eyes.

"It's not so bad... We could always make or buy furniture." She suggested, scoping the area of the cave. "Maybe build a few walls somehow so we both could have our own room. Ooh! We could paint the walls and make them look pretty-"

"Candy, this is not our home and it never will be!" Crystal exclaimed, sick of her sister's attempts to make everything quote unquote "Better". "This is a dump and you know it! You hate it as much as I do! Our actual home was going to be up on the hill; with the trees and the beautiful view and everything! That was supposed to be where our Eeveelution group was going to live... Until stupid Hewa ruined it! We were so close, Candy, finally being able to live with others so we wouldn't live alone in the house mom and dad left us in!" She gasped and covered her mouth.

Candy blinked and looked at Crystal in disbelief. The little glimpse of hope in her eyes faded as she quickly turned away. "Wow, umm, you really didn't need to bring them up... That was really unnecessary..."

Crystal stood up from the ground. "Candy I'm sorry, I didn't mean- I was- I'm just-"

"No, I get it. I understand. This IS a dump. Hewa IS stupid; of course we should already know that. We were supposed to live in a beautiful place with other people until SHE ruined it. And... I guess just everything sucks right now I guess. I'm sorry for trying to stay hopeful." Candy walked back out the entrance of the cave. "I'll be out of your bangs then."

Crystal watched her leave. She groaned, covered her face and sat back down.

Why are you so- so- Stupid! She thought to herself.

She uncovered her face and reached up in her bangs and pulled out her notebook. Crystal flipped through the pages and read her old entries, specifically the second one. The memories flooded back of her when she stayed up almost all night with high adrenaline and the hopefulness of stopping the war. She flips forward to even more of her entries where she sounded so happy and hopeful... Crystal's eyes water as she closes the book and takes the prophecy out from under her bangs. Re-reading it and spotting the rip from Storm, she then buries her head in her arms and the ground and begins to cry.

"This is hopeless..." She tells herself. "What are we supposed to do now?

Storm's breath began getting shorter as he ran faster with Willow on his back. Soon he stopped to take a breath.

Cascade City is too far... He thought to himself and huffed. Just gotta get to a Pokemon center...

Storm looked at his surroundings; a forest. He couldn't remember how in the world he got here of all places but he shook his head, that was the least of his worries right now. He just had to figure out how to GET OUT. He thought he was losing it, as he heard ruffles from the trees and bushes behind him, but when he looked, they didn't have a single hint of movement. Storm turned back around to be confronted by a small group of masked Leafeons.
