Chapter 12: The Attack

"MERIDA!" Willow exclaimed as she watched Braviary fall from the sky. The Leafeons ran to the direction of where Merida was about to hit.

"EVERYBODY! GET IN A GROUP AND FORM AND A CATCH CIRCLE!" Zuki Exclaimed. Crystal, Zappy, Candy and Pepe ran into the direction of where the Leafeons were going. Then Crystal got an idea.

"CANDY! USE YOUR RIBBONS TO CATCH-" She paused. "MERIDA! EVERYONE ELSE STAND UNDER HER RIBBONS AND SHE'LL LOWER MERIDA DOWN SO YOU GUYS CAN CATCH HER!" Crystal ordered.

Candy and some of the others stood under where the Braviary, Merida, was falling.

"What's that purple thing falling beside Merida?" Pepe asked Crystal.

"Not now Pe-" Crystal glanced up at Merida and saw an Espeon beside her, falling with her...One that she recognized.

The Espeon looked at her, smiled, then right before she hit the ground, she teleported away.

The group were able to catch Merida and put her down, and Willow ran to her side.

"Merida! Merida, wake up!" Willow cried, and shook Merida in a last ditch effort. No response.

Tears and anger in her eyes, she turned to everyone.

"WHO DID THIS? WHO?" Willow screamed.

The Leafeons whispered to one another, and Crystal came forward, Pepe, Candy, and Zappy following.

"Willow......you know who it was-" Crystal calmly said.

"NO, I DON'T!" Willow snapped back.

"STOP DENYING IT!" Crystal snapped back at her.

"..."

Everyone was silent, except Zappy.

"Um, so, who was it?" He questioned.

Willow and Crystal looked at each other, then to Zappy. Willow fuming with anger and sadness, and Crystal hiding how worried she was.

"Hewa." Crystal and Willow said in unison.

Zappy nervously walked over to Willow and hugged her, being careful not to accidentally zap her while tears ran down his shoulders.

Meanwhile, the leafeons surrounded Merida, trying to save her injuries. She had been scratched and bitten around the neck, bleeding out profusely, nearly dead. Crystal and Candy ran to Merida, Pepe following behind.

"Why would Hewa do this....? I mean, Merida wouldn't harm a fly!" Crystal said, confused.

"I might know." Zappy said, still comforting Willow. "Hewa might not have wanted us to use Merida as transportation, so she ki-" He glanced at Willow, then back to Crystal and Candy, "injured her."

"Or...." Pepe butted in. "Hewa came to attack one of us, and Merida saved us!"

"Well, I don't think we will know..." Candy replied, then looked at Willow. "Because, ya know, her disorder makes it so we can't understand her, that's why! OW!" Candy said as Crystal elbowed her to shut up.

Willow walked over to Merida, and the Leafeons backed away. She laid next to Merida's lifeless body, and laid there silently.

"You should probably leave her be for a while..." Zuki told the others in his gruff voice. "Let her grief."

"Wait, but, can't you just heal Merida? You guys have grass-y magic after all!"

"I'm sorry, Pepe, but the injuries are too severe. There is nothing we can do-"

"Then I'll do something!"

"Pepe-" Zappy piped up, but Pepe's glare silenced him in a second.

Pepe walked over to Willow, who looked up at Pepe, a little angry.

"Go away, you git." She growled.

Pepe ignored her and climbed up onto Merida. The Leafeons gasped.

Willow stood up quickly. "Pepe! You are disrespecting the ancient Leafeon morning tradition! Get off of her this instant you twit!" She yelled at Pepe

"Tradition is just peer pressure from dead pokemon!" Pepe yelled back as she grabbed a revive out of her fur and slammed it into Merida's chest feathers.

"Pepe!" Zappy called and ran to her, grabbing her off of the bird's body.

Suddenly, the revive gets absorbed by Merida, and there is a flash of light.

"S....S....sq...." Merida piped up a bit.

The Leafeons were in shock, Willow, Candy, Crystal, and Zappy were in shock. Even Pepe was a little shocked.

"Well, what are you waiting for?!?!" Willow yelled to the other Leafeons as she dropped Pepe and ran to Merida. "Form the sacred healing circle!"

The Leafeons fumbled to Merida and formed a circle.

"Let....me....in!" Candy said, trying to get in with the circle, Crystal and Zappy looking on in confusion.

"Leafeons only, kid." A big Leafeon said to her.

Candy scoffed at the big Leafeon and ran to Willow. "Willow, let me help! I can heal! You'll need all the help you can get, after all!"

Willow smiled slightly, and nodded, letting Candy in, holding her paw.

"Everyone, use Synthesis!" Zuki ordered. "Erm, I mean, a healing move! Mostly Synthesis-"

"We get it, now go!" Candy said.

There was a bright glow of green and a small bit of pink around the circle.

Everyone was silent, until they saw a navy blue creature fly up into the air out of the circle, squawking with glee.

That creature being Merida.
