The Eeveelution War

Chapter 39: Le Outburst

All 8 Eeveelutions (with a Psyduck) charged towards the large gate of Hewa's castle, the attackers leading the charge. Once they arrived, they were soon attacked by more Espeon bots in a surprise attack, causing them to become greatly injured.

"ZAPPY, TO YOUR LEFT!" Storm frantically yelled to his friend, who leapt out of the way of a laser beam and attacked the bot that tried to take him down.

Storm grabbed two bots and smashed their heads together as Crystal froze them in place, making sure they wouldn't come back up. Phantom did some mystic dark power thingy that literally just ate the robots gone. Plucky Ducky bapped one on the nose then Zappy took it out by force. The eeveelutions fought vigilantly, injuring themselves in the process, the entrance Hewa-bots were gone.

"That's... the last of them..." Zappy said, panting and trying to catch his breath.

"The last of them near the door, at least." M.C. said. "There will be many more inside the castle."

"Not. Helpful." Blaze said through gritted teeth. "We're already down on strength, can you try to not put us down on moral too???"

"I was simply stating the obvious." She growled back.

"Guys, chill out with the sass," Candy said. "And that's coming from me."

Storm looked around frantically, jumping into Candy, M.C., and Blaze's conversation. "Guys, where's Willow??? I can't find her!"

"WILLOW!" Crystal's distant voice could be heard in distress. The group perked their ears in the direction (well, the ones who have ears...) to see a severely injured and bleeding- out-sap Willow being lifted up slightly by a worried Crystal.

Storm bolted over, kneeling down. "WILLOW! WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"The Hewa bot... it came out of nowhere... I couldn't get to it in time." Willow breathed slowly. "I'm sorry."

Storm froze and stared at her in pain, saying and doing nothing.

"Willow, no! Don't be sorry you didn't-"

"What's going on!? What-" Phantom and the others had come over then saw what happened. "WILLOW!" He exclaimed, then without a second thought, picked her up and put her on his back. "RETREAT! WE NEED TO RETREAT!"

"Retreat!?" M.C. questioned. "But we just started-"

"MY SISTER IS HURT M.C.!" Phantom shouted. "ALL OF US ARE! WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW!"

M.C. stared at Phantom in disbelief and he stared back with anger. She then sighed and nodded. Phantom started to run from the castle with Willow weakly holding onto his back; the others followed... Except Storm, who was still trying to process what would happen.

"Storm!? STORM!" He heard from behind him.

Storm finally turned around to see a Hewa bot about to strike him, but then was smashed into the ground by Zappy. He blinked in surprise then Zappy grabbed his paw.

"We need to leave, come on!"

The two ran from the castle and heard lasers shoot towards them but missed. They soon caught up with everyone else, who were running like there was no tomorrow. At one point M.C. started to slow down because of her tiny legs and Blaze had to pick her up and run with her. After a good five minutes, everyone was out of breath and stopped. Especially Willow, who might have not been running, but was losing a lot of blood.
