Crystal looked around the field. Pepe was nowhere to be seen.
"PEPE!? PEPE WHERE ARE YOU!?" Crystal shouted
"THIS IS NO TIME TO BE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK!" Candy shouted as well.
Zappy looked around and panicked "Shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot... SHOOT WHERE THE FRICK IS SHE!?" he questioned himself.
"SHE CAN'T BE GONE NOW! I JUST CAME BACK TO HER IN MONTHS I-I-I..." Zappy's voice started to trail off. He slumped down on the grass and covered his face with his paws.
"I-I couldn't have lost her yet.. I just got back to her." he said, not looking up.
"Don't worry, we'll find her! I'll look around ok?" Crystal said, trying to cheer Zappy up. "Candy, stay here with Zappy, I'll look for Pepe."
"Ugh why meeee?" Candy groaned.
She looked at Zappy, his face gloomier than a Gloom. Candy laid down next to Zappy.
"So it's been a while Zappy? What have you been doing?" Candy asked, trying to start up a conversation.
"Not being there for my sister. And I don't even know where my brother is. They probably hate me now" he mumbled. "I was out on the battlefield for one day and I came home to this, no wonder Blaze isn't here anymore. He probably hates me."
"They don't hate you! Pepe probably ran off because she was just scared of the fire!" Candy insisted, though she thought there could be another possibility.
"Oh yeah? What about Blaze? I haven't seen him in ten months." Zappy said back. There was silence for a moment. Suddenly, Zappy felt something wrapped around his wrists. It was a Sylveon's ribbons.
"Wha-what are you doing?" he asked.
"It will help you calm down. Is it working?" Candy replied and asked.
Zappy sighed. "Yes I guess it is...Thank you Candy."
"No problem! Crystal was right, you're better than-."
"GUYS LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" Crystal shouted, running over to Zappy and Candy, They stood up.
"IS IT PEPE!?" Zappy asked.
"Sadly no, but I did find this!" Crystal held up a jagged leaf in her hand.
"Wow amazing." Candy replied sarcastically. "We're in a forest, there are leaves everywhere! What makes that one so special."
"Oh, this isn't just any leaf..." Crystal replied.
