I'm sitting aloof in my room waiting for my sister and cousins to take me to the mandap.
" come on akka... its time " Swati said coming inside my room.
We went down and she made me sit near Vishak my soon to be husband. After completing every rituals he tied the thali ( wedding chain) around my neck.
That's it I'm bound to him forever. The whole day was tiring with every rituals. I feel really very tired. If someone gives me a bed I would sleep right here.
We both never spoke to eachother as we completed the rituals. I kissed my Appa , Amma and Siblings and gave them my sweet smile before leaving.
I waved them good bye and got into the car. I cannot cry infront of them . I can never show my vulnerability infront of them. If I did so then they would be more broken. A few drops of tears left my eyes after my family's image disappeared.
My husband was sitting quiet beside. Soon we reached his ..oops...my new home . I was welcomed my mother in law.
At evening they got me ready for the stupid first night. They got me ready in a saree with jasmine flower in my hair.
I went inside my new room and there stood my husband in my tee and track pants. Both of us looked at eachother without blinking even for a second. I rolled my eyes at him and went inside the closet to change into something comfortable.
I changed into my Barbie pyjama which I packed for myself. I saw him still standing there .
" Hi I'm Nithya, senior software engineer and right now I'm hell tired and I want to sleep, so Good Night " I waved at him and got into the bed .
Even he too came and sat on the bed.
" You don't even try to touch me. If so then I will break each and every bone in you " I threatened him and for first time he smiled .
" hey man what are you smiling at. Am I conducting some kind of show here " I asked him with my hands on my hips.
" Thank God.... I thought I'm going to marry some kind of calm and composed girl. But right now I'm relieved. God heard my prayer " he said thanking God. I looked at him as if he is crazy.
" By the way I'm Vishak , I own a construction company. I'm an architect. Even I'm very tired come on let's sleep. We have a whole life time to know and understand about eachother " he said smiling.
We laid on the bed facing each other. Soon sleep took us into our dream land....
