Allison argent report to the principles office.

Allison pov

Great. What now. I walked into my grandfathers office and he motioned for me to take a seat while he walked around the desk and shut the door. "Your father tells me your not home tonight." He said while taking a seat in front of me. I slowly nodded.

"Just with Haylie and Lydia." I said trying to sound convincing. "We're studing for a history midterm thats coming up." He nodded and smiled.

"History was my favouraite subject in school. Espically Military History. Ever heard the phrase 'know thy enemy'?" I thought for a second before answering.

"It comes from the art of war by sunsu."

"Very good." I suddenly felt proud of myself from his praise. "Know what it means?" I thought for a second more this time and looked away from him.

"It means in order to win a battle one must know everything they can about their enemy." I looked back up to him. He loked impressed.

"Right again. Your father and I happen to be having that very problem," I didnt know what he was going to say but I felt it was going to be bad. "we've got an enemy of which we know next to nothing about. its killed one of our own among others." He was trying to guilt trip me.

"I've heard." I said quickly

"Did you hear Jackson Whitmore didnt show up for school today?" I figited in my seat.

"He didnt?" I know I didnt sound convincing enough.

"His parents called and so did the police." Damn it, how did they find out. "You wouldnt know anything about that would you?" I shook my head not lying for once, I didnt know the police or his parents knew. "Well let me tell you what I know. I know that a teenagers first instinct is to protect their friends" He started to stand and walk towards me. "And I believe, my granddaughter would alwas want to protect her friends even if it meant lying." I figited again as he stood behind me. "So I want to ask one more question." He started to move hair away from my face. "This time with a small advantage. Im not going to hurt you, I just want to get a sense of your pulse." He moved hair from my neck and placed his cold fingers under my jaw so he could feel my pulse. I was frientened now. What if he knew I waslying to him. "Think of it as a game. All you have to do is tell the truth." He lent down next to my face and I tried to stay calm. "Do you know anything about Jackson being missing?"

"No." I said and I think I may have passed.

"Is he in trouble?" Istarted to feel nervous.

"I...I.i..ii. I dont know." I stuttered and I knew I was failing.

"Does this have anything to do with Scott?"

"No!" I said too quickly and too loudly. "I mean, I dont know." His fingers twitched on my neck and I knew without looking at him he was smilng.

"Your pulse jumped." I shot up from m seat and turned to look at him.

"Its because your scaring me." He stood up straight.

"Oh im sorry sweetheart. I was definitly going way to far." He put his hands in his pockets but kept looking at me. "It wasnt right for me to use tactics like that Im sorry." I looked up and saw he was heading for the door. "You can go back to class." He said while opening the door. I walked out and saw a man on a ladder installing a camera. I looked back to Gerard. "Go ahead." He said while nodded. I walked away.

While I was walkig through the corridors to maths I noticed more and more cameras motition around the school. I praticaly ran to math class, since I knew Scott was in there. I had to tell him that the police knew about Jackson. I got there and saw Haylie was sitting at the bck. Scott wasnt here and neither was mr tils. I sat next to her and thankfully she wasnt mad anymore. I told her everything.
