That Girl (Part 2)

Chapter 38

Peter and I watched them all fight the Kanima, but they were all losing. Derek got back up and went towards him, but he was knocked back down when he was sliced through his stomach. Isaac looked at Derek on the floor and stood up ready to fight again, but was stopped when Allison stood in front of him. He ducked the first time she tried to hit him, but then she caught him in the chest; she had two knives in her hands and then sliced through his back after circling him. He fell to the floor and she was ready to kill him but was stopped when the Kanima grabbed her wrists pulling the knives out and holding her by the throat.

"Not yet sweetheart." Gerard said coming back into the room. I looked to Isaac lying on the floor bleeding out. Peter could stay and hide if he wanted to but I wouldn't, I moved past him and crouched down next to Isaac.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked still being held by Jackson. I put my hand on one of the wounds on Isaacs chest to try and stop the bleeding. It wasn't healing as fast as it should.

"He's doing what he came here to do." Scott answered and I looked up and saw Gerard and Scott staring at each other.

"Then you know?" Gerard asked confused.

"What is he talking about?" Allison breathed. I could feel Isaacs wounds healing.

"It was that night at the hospital when I threatened your mother wasn't it? I knew I saw something in your eyes." I looked to Scott s Gerard spoke ignoring Allison, and I saw Chris walk in behind Scott. "You could smell it couldn't you?"

"He's dying." I looked to Isaac as he started to sit up, everyone else did the same. I then looked to Derek who was in the middle of the floor, he was looking at Peter behind the wall with rage.

"I am." Gerard answered Isaac, "I have been for a while now, Unfortunately science hasn't found a cure for cancer yet. But the supernatural does." He said the last bit looking at Derek.

"You monster!" Chris yelled.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked and she choked at Jackson's grip around her neck got tighter.

"You'd kill her too?" Chris motioned to Allison.

"When It comes to survival. I'd kill my own son!" Gerard yelled back. He then looked to Scott as he changed back to his human form. "Scott." I was on my knees next to Isaac as Scott started to move towards Derek, then I finally caught on.

"Scott don't." Derek said as Scott grabbed Derek and held him so he was defenceless. "You know he's just gonna kill me right after, he'll be an alpha." Derek said to Scott.

"He's right, but I think Scott already knew that."

"No!" I yelled and tried to stand but Isaac pulled be back down by my wrists then held onto my waist so I couldn't help Derek.

"He knows that the ultimate prize is Allison." Scott looked to Allison as Gerard spoke. "He does this small task for me and they can be together. You are the only piece that doesn't fit Derek. Even your little brown eyed dancer is moving on to someone her own age." Gerard motioned towards me and Isaac. "So in case you haven't learnt yet, there is just no competing with young love." Gerard took his jacket off and rolled up his sleeve.

"Scott don't!" Derek yelled under Scott's grip.

"I'm sorry, but I have too." Scott said and pulled Derek's head back to expose his fangs.

"No! Scott stop!" I yelled and tried to crawl out of Isaacs grip but he just pulled me down tighter. Gerard walked up to Derek and placed his arm inside Derek's mouth. Derek involuntary bit down and Gerard screamed out in pain. Allison and Chris looked away from the scream. Gerard pulled his arm out of Derek's mouth and showed the bite that was left. He held up his arm in victory. "What is that?" I said and everyone else was thinking the same thing. Where there should be blood there was some black substance coming out of Gerard's bite. He saw the way we were all looking at it and looked himself. He looked just as confused when he looked to Scott.

"What is this? What did you do?" Derek looked up to Scott from the floor as well.

"Everyone said Gerard had a plan." Scott said looking at Derek. "I had a plan too." Gerard pulled out a silver container which I had seen many times before and he poured the contents into his hand, He looked to Scott before crushing the pills in his hand.

"MOUNTAIN ASHHHHH!" He yelled as he fell to the floor and the black goo started to drip out of his eyes and nose and ears. We all watched him as he started to have a small seizure and then he stopped moving all together.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I looked back To Derek who spoke to Scott.

"Because you might be an Alpha. But you're not mine." Scott said before turning back to Gerard who manage to sit up a little.

"Kill them! Kill them all!!" He yelled to Jackson then fell to the floor without moving again. This time I was sure he was dead. Jackson slowly let go off Allison but then pushed her to the floor as a car came crashing through the wall of the warehouse. It hit Jackson causing him to fly backwards. I recognised the jeep instantly.

"Did I hit him!" Stiles yelled from the drivers seat. Jackson quickly jumped onto the hood of the car and Stiles and Lydia screamed and climbed out of the car.

"Jackson!" Lydia yelled and stood in front of the Kanima. Stiles ran towards us and Isaac finally let me go and I ran to my brother.

"Lydia!" Stiles tried to run to her as the Kanima lifted his hand and was ready to slice through her but she held something up that made him hesitate. I wasn't sure but it looked like a key. Slowly we all watched as Jackson started to become him again. The scales started to disappear and his eyes returned to normal. He reached for the key and took it out of Lydia's hand. He stared at it for a moment then at her. He slowly started to back away from her and looked towards Derek. He opened his arms wide and nodded at him. Within a second Derek stood up and ran towards Jackson, Peter did the same and finally came out of hiding. They used their claws and hit Jackson in the lowed torso on either side, then lifted him into the air. Jackson started to choke before they put him down and he fell on his knees.

Lydia ran to make sure he didn't fall to hard, as Derek and Peter backed away from him. Derek turned Human again and started to back up towards me. When he was standing next to me, I felt his hand twitch against mine. I didn't look at him, just like everyone else we were looking at Jackson and Lydia kneeling in front of each other.

"Do you?" Jackson whispered but we could all hear. "Do you still..."

"I do, I do still love you." Lydia said and I saw the tears escape. She started crying more as Jackson closed his eyes and fell onto her shoulder. She caught him and cried into his dead body. Derek's hand entwined with mine as we watched. Lydia lie Jackson's human body down on the floor. She somehow managed to stand up and turn away from his body. But I felt Derek's hand tighten around mine as there was a scraping sound coming from Jackson's body. Lydia turned around just as Jackson started to sit up. He pulled himself up off the ground and his eyes were blue. His entire face transformed and one thing was for sure. Jackson wasn't The Kanima anymore. He was werewolf.

Everybody walked out of the warehouse in their own groups. Isaac, Peter and Stiles. Lydia and Jackson. Allison, Scott and Chris. And me and Derek. Derek and I walked hand in hand out of the warehouse and stopped because I stopped walking. "What is it?" He asked not letting my hand go, but still turning to face me. I shook my head.

"I'm not going." He looked at me confused. "To London. I'm not going to London." I saw his eyes light up but drop back down instantly. "What is it? What's wrong?"

"I don't want you to miss out on your lifelong dream for me." I took a couple of steps away from him, dragging him by his hands.

"Don't get cocky Hale. Who said it had anything to do with you?" I smirked and winked at him. He chuckled before, putting his arm around my shoulder while our fingers were still entwined. We went back to my house and for the first time in months I knew I was going to get a good night's sleep.
