Haylie pov
“So what are you gonna do for the rest of the day?” I asked as we exited his car and walked up the porch to my front door. He shrugged his shoulders and put his hands into his pockets. “Okay,” I stopped in front of the door and he stood opposite me. “Now are you gonna tell me, whatever it is that you wanted to tell me since we left this morning?” I asked widening my eyes. I noticed while we were in my bedroom that he wanted to say something, then again in the café while he was ordering for us. He sighed, obviously realising it’s not that easy to hide things from me.
“It can wait till tomorrow.” I gave him a glare and he rubbed his neck awkwardly, “I might not even have to, it’s not important.” I looked down at the keys in my hand and fiddled with them.
“Is it to do with Jackson?” He let out another breath.
“Just don’t worry about it. You went through enough this morning.” He moved close to me and moved hair away from my neck. “Why don’t I come by tonight, we can talk more about us…” He trailed off, not knowing if what he said was okay. I nodded and smiled at him. He leaned in too kiss me, and it was short when his lips pressed gently on mine. He pulled back and looked in the direction of the drive way. I followed his eyes to see my brother jeep pull in, with my dad in the passenger seat. I patted Derek chest and went back on my feet, I didn’t even realise I was on tiptoes to kiss him.
“You should go, now.” He nodded and let go off my waist. Without looking at me he walked towards his car.
“Dad!” I looked to the yell and saw it was Stiles, my dad slammed the jeep door and started to walk towards Derek. Derek pulled his hands out of his pockets with his keys in his hand, he looked up when my dad grabbed his jacket and pushed him against his own car. Derek accepted it easily.
“Stay the hell away from my daughter!” My dad yelled in Derek's face still holding onto his jacket.
“Dad stop!” I yelled and ran over with Stiles. Stiles pulled my dad of Derek, but he lunged again.
“Do you hear me Hale! Stay away from her!” Derek sighed before shaking his head.
“Sorry sheriff but I’m not gonna do that.” Derek said through clenched teeth. I looked at Derek for a second confused then at my dad who looked even angrier.
“To hell your not! You come near her again and your dead!” My dad yelled Stiles was still holding him back and away from Derek.
“Maybe your forgetting but I did just save her life. Matt would have cut through her neck.” Derek said calmly looking my dad in the eyes.
“He’s right dad. He saved me, us, he saved all of us!” I defended him. My dad looked surprised at me. “And as much as you may hate it, No I’m not stop seeing him.” I said and stood next to Derek. My dad’s body relaxed but it looked like it was from shock.
“Are you forgetting what he did? You said he was obsessed with you. Now you’re dating?” Stiles slowly let go off my dad.
“He didn’t do anything remember. It was Kate Argent, you know that.” I said.
“You still said he was obsessed with you. I could arrest you right now if I wanted.” He pointed to Derek.
“Dad calm down. As much as I hate it,” Stiles started looking in between me and Derek. “Everyone deserves a chance.” Stiles gave Derek a small smile, but it wasn’t returned.
“You knew about this?” My dad turned to Stiles, “How long has this been going on, I mean I’ve seen the picture but is it longer?” he said turning back to me. I shrugged and looked at Derek, He moved his hand as a gesture for me to talk.
