As soon as I hit the field I sat down on the bench next to Scott. I couldn’t see my brother on the field so he must still be getting ready. I looked around and saw Jackson on the field, I suddenly felt a whole load of worry wash over me. Why would he be here. I looked to Scott who gave me a reassuring smile. “Is your dad coming?” I nodded.

“He’s already here.” I pointed to my dad sitting with his mom.

“You seen Allison?” He asked looking around.

“No, you seen Lydia?”

“Not yet.” He breathed.

“Do you know what's going on?”

“Not yet.” I saw the look on his face and it just gave me more worry.

“It’s gonna be bad, isn’t it.” I said realising Scott was looking in between Jackson and Gerard. The way Gerard and Jackson were looking at each other made me catch on fast. He controlled the Kanima now. “Like Blood, maiming, people screaming running for their lives bad” I continued when he didn’t reply. He looked at me then slowly nodded.

“Looks like it.” I hated the feeling that was growing in the pit of my stomach. I nodded and looked to all the players on the field.

“Scott,” I felt him look at me but I didn’t look at him. “Were losing.” I paused before continuing. “We’re just a bunch of teenagers, we should be worrying about our grades and prom, not,” I had to swallow before I cried. “Not, about who's gonna survive till morning.” I finally turned to look at him. “Definitely not who's gonna survive this game.” I looked away from his pitiful eyes and to the field I let out a breath when I saw Stiles running onto the field. I looked around to my dad and he had the same confused look on his face. He mouthed to me. “What's he doing?” I shrugged my shoulders. Stiles had never played in an actual game before. He always sat on the bench. And now it’s the championship game and he’s standing in defence. I felt Scott stiffen next to me. I turned to face him and I knew he was listening to something. I looked around the field and my eyes landed on Gerard. He was looking at Scott.

Scott pov

“Listen closely Scott, because the game is about to get very interesting. Let’s put a real clock on this game Scott.” I looked at Haylie who was looking confused, but I couldn’t explain until Gerard had finished. “I’ll give you till the last 30 seconds. If that scoreboard clock starts to count down and you haven’t given me Derek then Jackson is gonna kill someone. So tell me Scott who's gonna die tonight? Should it be your mother who so bravely came out to support you? Or the sheriff, your best friend’s father?  The pretty little red head who managed to survive the bite of an Alpha? What about the terrified dancer sitting next to you. Or one of the innocent teenagers with their whole life a head of them?” I looked around at all the victims Gerard had suggested. “Why don’t I do everyone a favour and kill that ridicules coach. Its up to you Scott, but you are going to help me, take Derek down. Because if you don’t, I’ll have Jackson rip someone’s head off right in the middle of the field and drench everyone one you’ve ever cared about in blood.” The whistle went, the clock started and the game began.

Derek pov

“See fine example, I’m not healing as fast.” Peter said looking at his busted lip in the mirror. “Coming back from the dead isn’t easy you know. I’m not as strong as I used to be. I need a pack. An Alpha, like you. I need you as much as you need me.” I scoffed at the suggestion.
