5: Sick Shoto

A month after the sports festival finished, I've become completely comfortable around everyone in my class minus Bakugo and Mineta. Mineta is such a perv and Bakugo is a total asshole. But I've managed to befriend everyone else in class 1-A. I've been hanging out with Uraraka more and more. The two of us have gone shopping many times for new clothes and shoes and whatnot. I've even told her about my crush on Todoroki. She totally supports me one hundred percent. She even tells me that she thinks that Shoto might like me back. I tell her I don't think so and I don't want to get my hopes up. Just in case.

The two of us walk into class one day and I notice that Shoto Todoroki isn't there. I wonder where he is. 

Before Mr. Aizawa shows up, I quickly text him to ask him where he is. Then I see him walk in. But he looks... Off. I'm not sure what's wrong. His eyes are bloodshot, he looks kinda pale. As he walks in, he sneezes. "Excuse me." Is all he said as he walked toward his seat. When he sits down, I notice that he looks kinda tired.

"Shoto. Are you feeling alright? You look kinda pale." I'm filled with concern for the half-and-half boy. 

"I'm alright. It's just my allergies. They're pretty bad."

"If you say so Todo."

As the day goes by, I notice Todoroki getting worse by the minute. He's been coughing really violently. He's also been consistently getting up to blow his nose. I've figured out that he's sick. He really shouldn't be in class if he isn't feeling well. Not only does it put him at risk of getting worse, but it also puts the others at risk of getting sick.

So, during lunch, I pat for Todo to sit beside me.

"Hey. You don't seem like yourself today. You've been coughing and sneezing a lot today. You're pale, your eyes are bloodshot, and you look really tired. I don't think this is allergies."

"I'm- (cough cough cough) fine."

"Uh-uh. Come here. Let me feel your forehead." Startled I jump back just a bit. "Todoroki, you have a fever. You need to go to Recovery Girl or go back to bed. You're sick. You should be getting rest."

"I told you I'm fine. Besides, it's allergies."

"Ugh. You know you can't get a fever from allergies, right? Come on. I'm taking you to your dorm Shoto. You need to be in bed."

"I'm fine (sneezes x2)."

"She's right Shoto. If you have a fever, you should definitely be in bed." Deku commented.

"Thanks, Deku. See, Midoriya agrees with me. Now come on. Bed, medicine, liquids, rest. In that order. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You are going to get some rest. You're my best friend Todoroki. You need to take better care of yourself."

I pull him up by his arm and take him out of the cafeteria. 

"Okay. Tell me where to go. I don't know where your dorm is since the last time I was there I had my eyes closed."

"Okay (tells you directions)."

"Finally, we're here. You got a key?" 

He hands me a bronze key. I unlock the door and gently put Todoroki into bed.

"Where do you keep your PJs?"

"In my dresser. Bottom drawer. There should be something comfortable in there."

I rustle around to find a comfy pair of pajamas. I finally find the pair I was looking for and bring them over to Shoto.

"Here. Go to the bathroom and put these on. I'll go make you some soup and tea. That always helps me feel better when I'm sick."
