Todoroki x Y/N: Femme Reader

8: Jealousy

(Y/N) POV:

After I recovered from my sickness, Todoroki helped me get caught up on the homework that I missed. I hated it, but I knew that it had to get done. I do want to be a pro hero someday.

Our class is doing another hero vs. villain exercise with All Might. I notice that he and Midoriya seem to be really close. I've been joking with Todoroki about how we think Midoriya is All Might's secret love child or something. 

Either way, I'm paired with Uraraka as the heroes, and Todoroki and Iida are paired together as the villains. I'm not sure how to battle my boyfriend during this exercise but I promise myself that I won't let my personal feelings get in the way of doing the exercise.

"Come on Uraraka. We can take them." Uraraka is the only one who knows about my and Todoroki's relationship.

She pulls me off to the side.

"Are you sure you're willing to do this (Y/L/N)?"

"I'm sure. I'm not going to let any personal feelings get in the way of completing this exercise to the best of my ability. Besides. I have an idea. Just in case."

"What's up?"

"Well, if Todoroki uses his ice quirk to keep us from getting near the bomb, just like he did with Ojiro and Hagakure, it would be smart to use your Zero Gravity quirk to get one of us over the ice to get to the bomb. I just hope he doesn't freeze the whole building like when he battled Ojiro and Hagakure. Otherwise, that would make things so much more complicated." I see ice forming around the entirety of the building. "Ugh. Spoke too soon."

"You're telling me. Now what?"

"Well, we don't have a ton of time. So we need to be smart about this. Aha! I've got it. You know how I can make a steam screen at will?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

"Well, I've been getting a better handle on it lately and I can heat things up with my steam."

"Are you suggesting..."

"What if I use my quirk to warm up at least this lower part of the building and any stairs we may encounter? I'd have to make sure that Todoroki can't see my steam. If I can do that, then we're golden, Uraraka."

"It may just be crazy enough to work. Let's do it."

"Thanks for trusting me."

"Any time. Now Let's do this."

I stand in front of Uraraka and blast some steam on the lower part of the building to warm it up. I also manage to evaporate the water that's left behind from the ice. I beckon Uraraka to follow me. The two of us keep this up for a while. Then I hear Iida's voice coming from straight above us.

"Uraraka, do you hear that?" I whisper.

"Yeah. It sounds like Iida."

"Yeah. I bet we're getting close. But I'm surprised we haven't run into either of them. I would've thought that at least one of them would have come down to make sure everything was okay. I mean, I thought Shoto would've noticed the building warming up. Hmm... Let's be extra careful from now on. No more steam. I can't produce much more anyway right now. I'm so tired. We'll have to move carefully up this last set of stairs to avoid slipping. Let's go. Quickly and quietly."

The two of us slowly walk up the last set of stairs. It's a little tricky with all the ice, but we manage to get up the stairs. I have Urakaka get to the other side of the doorway without being seen. 

I peek my head into the room and see the bomb. I also see Shoto and Iida. Perfect. Everything is going according to plan. I mouth to Uraraka to use her Zero Gravity quirk on me to get me over the ice and to the bomb. I secretly hope that Todoroki doesn't use his quirk on me while I'm in the air. I'd be in trouble then.
