18: The First Years' Dance Part 1

It was a long month but my right leg is finally fully healed. And we had a guest teacher in our homeroom again.  It was Midnight again.

"Listen up first years."

All of us sat frozen in our seats.

"There's a big dance for each level of classes. This dance combines the hero courses with the support and business courses just like the sports festival did. This is a formal dance and there will be pro heroes there, so make sure to dress to impress. I want to see you all look your best. That's all." And she walked out of the class.

The girls and I started squealing about this event. This was gonna be huge. Our first dance as first years. This is our time to show off our best outfits. We can't wait. But then I look over at the boys and they all look a bit hesitant. Even Todoroki looks a bit nervous. I ask the girls to excuse me for a minute and they do.

I walk over to Todoroki. "Hey, babe. Is something wrong? You look a bit hesitant about this dance coming up. Are you nervous?"

"Oh. Hey, Snowflake. Nothing's wrong. It's just my dad again. He probably won't want me going to this dance. He'll probably want me to keep training."

"But is that what you want Todoroki? Do you want to keep training?"

"No. I want to go and enjoy that night with you. I want to spend my night with the most wonderful girl in our class. The girl who managed to break down my walls and earn my love and affection."

"Oh. Shoto. That's so sweet."

"I'm just worried about how this will all work out. I really don't want my dad to find out because he'll probably kill me if I wasn't training or studying to become the next number one hero."

"I understand Shoto. Don't worry. I'm sure we can come up with something. Don't worry. Your dad won't find out that you weren't studying or training. Well, I can't promise that, but I'll try my best."

"I know you will. That's one of the things that I love about you. You never give up. You're unstoppable."

"Aw. Thanks, Shoto."  We kissed and I went back over to the girls.

"What was that all about?" Mina asked me.

"Oh, that? Shoto's just nervous, that's all. Anyway, what are you all planning on wearing to the dance?"

"I'm planning on going with a pink dress." Ochaco says. 

"That sounds perfect for you. You look amazing in pink." I compliment her.

"You really think so?"

"Of course, I do. You rock that pink hero costume during training."

"Aw. That's so sweet."

"Aw. I wish I could wear pink. But it would just camouflage with my skin." Ashido complained.

"Don't worry Mina. I'm sure you'll find something to wear that will look amazing on you." I encourage her.

"Thanks, (Y/N)."

"What about you Yaoyorozu?"

"I find that I look my best in red. So that's what I'm going to choose from."

"Sounds great Yaoyorozu. Tsu? What about you?"

"Something green to reflect my frog quirk."

"Make that green work for you Tsu. I think that just leaves Hagakure."

"Oh. I don't really know. There are so many options. Plus I'm kind of literally invisible. But I'll find something that works. But what about you (Y/N)? I'm sure that you and Todoroki will be coordinating a color scheme or something."
