❌Chapter 17: Oh My God❌

*Ryder's POV*
I wake up expecting Nate to be gone but he was right there behind me "goodmorning beautiful" he says and pecks my lips "goodmorning handsome" i reply. He just stares down at me and it makes me feel a little self-conscious "what?" I ask "nothing, you're just beautiful" he says and i move up a little to kiss his cheek but he moves his head and i end up kissing his lips "wow, you're all lovey dovey today aren't you?" I giggle once we pull apart "kinda" he chuckles "hey, what happened yesterday? If you dont mind me asking, its just that i saw you with your bags and stuff but then i saw you crying on your window seat while listening to music and eating ice cream" he asks/ says "okay well... I went to surprise Jack on tour yesterday in LA. I walk into his part of the hotel room only to be greeted by his freshly scratched back. We never had sex or anything but i said something and he turned my way. I saw the slut Madison's head pop up over his shoulder to see who it was.." I explain and he looks just about angry, i touch his chest and he instantly relaxes "im so sorry... Are you gonna you know, forgive him?" He asks hesitantly "fuck no, i told him we were done yesterday and not to chase after me. Im sick and tired of being cheated on and/ or lied to in my relationships. Its happened everytime. I just want a normal, happy relationship where everything is perfect. I even had an abusive relationship once, my mum told me it wasn't worth it. But every single one of my relationships end up a disaster and im always hurt" i say in tears "oh my god, i didn't know. Im sorry that that happened to you Ryder. I honestly want to kill every single one of those boys especially Gilinsky" he says and wipes the tears away "thank you Nate, for everything. Im surprised you still care after all the hurtful things i said to you. I didn't mean any of it to be honest. Part of me wanted to be mad at you but part of me wanted you to run after me and kiss me, but i knew that wasn't gonna happen because i cant control my filthy mouth" i admit "its okay" he replies "hey, would you mind starting up breakfast while i go get starbucks please?" I ask him and he gets up "sure" he replies and looks around my playboy themed room "fuck, you really like playboy don't you?" He asks chuckling "well duh" i say giggling. I get up and make my bed then run over and jump on Nate's back, he grabs under my thighs and then starts to bolt down the stairs. He sets me on the counter then stands between my legs, he leans down and kisses me before grabbing my keys and handing them to me "go get that Starbucks babe" he says and i giggle before running out to my car. I hop in and watch as it roars to life. I back out of the driveway and drive down the quiet neighborhood. I get to a busy intersection and before you know it there are a pair of headlights hurdling towards me, they belonged to a huge truck. I feel my car roll multiple times and then my head bleeding. I hear sirens and yelling as i try to get out but i can't a lady who looks about mid 30's comes to my upside down car. I remember repeating "Nate, Nate, i need Nate" before my eyes slowly shut and i start to drift off away from the world.

*Nate's POV*
I turn on the tv in the kitchen and the news is on. I get a weird feeling in my stomach as a breaking news story comes on "there has been a fatal crash at the stones corner intersection that was extremely busy today. The person was identified as an 18 year old girl with a blue car. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Another news report will be on again once we find out more" the lady says, i can't see much but i don't have a good feeling about it. I just finished the pancakes, bacon and sausages when i get a call from an unknown number:

Phonecall:
Unknown: hi, is this Nate Maloley?
Nate: yes, it is. May i ask who is speaking?
Unknown: yes, im one of the nurses from the Omaha base hospital and we are sorry to inform you that your girlfriend Ryder Gillies is in a critial condition
Nate: thank you for telling me, i will be there as soon as i can. May i just ask how did you know to call me?
Unknown: well one of the paramedics said that before she blacked out she was saying something along the lines of 'Nate, Nate, I need Nate'
Nate: okay well i will be there soon, thank you for informing me. Bye.
