Jungkook had to become a gate holder to ensure the guest list remained exclusive only. When there were so many people whom Jimin hated within the agency, it wasn't ever a shock that a few obsessive fans found out about the actor's whereabouts. Many individuals had been fired from the staff for selling the information. Jungkook hoped nothing of that sort happened tonight on his watch, so he double-checked people's IDs, even if the guests weren't entirely cooperative with his tactics.
He gawked at the lady who'd walked in like she was renowned, but Jungkook hadn't seen her before. There were many people who worked behind the camera too, but judging by her stance, Jungkook was sure that she would have loved to make an entrance in front of the cameras. "Name?" He asked as she halted and fixed her faux fur scarf around the clavicle bone above her red off-shoulder dress.
"I don't need introductions, honey. I am special to Jimin."
Scoffing, Jungkook put a hand on the door, restricting the woman entirely. "Every other woman is special to Jimin. But this is an exclusive event and the only people allowed inside are the ones who have the invitations with their names on them."
"Call Jimin, I am sure he'll have no problem inviting me in himself," the lady's face turned red as she vexed.
"Jimin is busy, ma'am. If you could excuse me, I have real guests to welcome."
The woman in the red dress sneered, on the verge of getting physical with Jungkook. "I am not going anywhere unless you call him out. This is your last day at the job, so you better do as you are asked."
"On the contrary," Jungkook now poked his tongue into his cheek. "If it's really my last day at the job, I can do whatever the fuck I want." Spotting the guard, he snapped his finger and signaled him in.
The man approached urgently towards Jungkook and spotted the woman who flashed a mocking smile at him. "Touch me and you will be jobless too."
"What are you waiting for?!" Jungkook groaned, wanting to get over with the woman's wiles.
"S-sir," the guard invited Jungkook closer. The assistant's eyes squinted and a streak of fear ran through Jungkook's body, thinking if he really made a mistake. But how could he? If the woman was invited to a party, she could have provided him with details when he asked instead of acting with an improper and evil motive amounting to malice or despicable conduct. "She is Jimin's wife." The guard mumbled.
Jungkook felt as though nothing in the world made sense. He thought he was covered in every essential detail of the man's life, but Jimin turned out to be an enigma that was clouded with unambiguity. He let the woman walk all over him, both figuratively and literally as she pushed his seemingly lifeless body and got inside the premises.
Feeling his mind just closing, Jungkook handed the guest list he had to the guard and ran. "SIR?" The guard yelled after him, but Jungkook didn't stop until he was in front of the sea from where he looked back at the open terrace of the hotel where the event was organized. He could hear the faint voices, but everything mingled up before getting into his head, unclear. Why was he even feeling betrayed? It wasn't like he was a part of the family to Jimin or his precious Kyla that the two would tell him everything.
"Sir," a woman startled Jungkook and he spotted the camera in her hand that was rolling. "I am from Koreakoo and we are writing an article on Jimin's face value. Would you be able to tell us if the actor had gone through plastic surgery or if his lips have fillers? What about his hairline? Did Jimin go through a process of hair filling?"
"Who told you about the party?" Jungkook asked slowly, feeling that nothing was under control. It was just his illusion that he was doing a good job when in reality, there was fire everywhere. Jimin had a wife he had no idea about, Jimin had dogs too that Kyla didn't mention. She also didn't tell him about Jimin's fucking drug problem. She acted all helpful when in reality, she was just as pretentious as Jimin as he thought.
