Three months later
"Mr. Boyles," Jungkook waved at the animation department head and the man got up from his chair.
"Jungkook, my man!" Walking around the table, he bounded out of his office to get to Jungkook, who was walking in the corridor of Maxwell's building. "I am excited to hear ideas from you. I didn't know you were participating in the competition tonight."
"Well, I... Am," Jungkook raised his brows and then chuckled unbelievably as if it was amazing for him too. "I was going to get my CDs from Mr. Egg's office. I will see you tonight."
The older male patted Jungkook's back before wishing him luck. He saw as the younger walked away, thinking how he was a timid fellow when he had joined Maxwell. Mr. Boyles knew that a special recommendation came to enroll him in an internship, which he didn't think was worth it at the time when he first interviewed Jungkook in his prior depressive state. But how the young man had turned things around, he was in awe.
Jungkook's main interest was in event and nature documentaries and videography, but given that he had some experience working in the industry, Mr. Boyles suggested that he took animation classes too. And today, Jungkook was going to present his animation video in the quarterly competition they held.
Jungkook stopped humming before knocking at Mr. Egg's office. "Come in!" He invited the younger inside. "Meet Tiwi. She is the founder and CEO of Maxwell." The older introduced the woman sitting on the chair across from him when Jungkook's eyes fell on her.
"Hi," Tiwi stood up and offered her hand to Jungkook. The younger accepted it, but he seemed lost at how she stood up to greet him.
Tiwi smiled, knowing the kind of effect she had on people. A woman in her early thirties with a slim figure, black hair, and gifted skin. She was pretty, and Jungkook could bet that she must have been people's dream. But he looked intrigued for whole another reason. "Hello," he bowed his head while accepting her hand.
The lady returned the gesture. "Will you be there for tonight's competition?"
"I will," Jungkook stirred off his mind daze and smiled. "I had come here to get my CDs." He now averted his gaze to Mr. Egg. Once the man handed the CDs over to Jungkook from his drawers, the latter bowed at them again and left the room.
"Such a polite kid. Who is he?" Tiwi asked once Jungkook left.
"Oh, you didn't know? He was Jeon Jungkook."

The videos were presented by all the young males and females in front of department heads. Evidently, Jungkook's and one teenager's works stood out the most. Everyone was strolling in the food gallery while talking to each other during the break. The results were to be announced after some time, but Jungkook didn't feel anxious at all.
A month ago, he had seen Jimin for the first time on TV since that night. The actor's court case was publically telecasted and the way his lawyer, Min Yoongi, presented evidence, Jungkook knew that half of Korea must have fallen for the lawyer. He was tenacious, calm, and logical in the hearing.
Jungkook had stayed awake the whole night to watch the case. When it ended with Kim Suzi being fined one million and Kim Rose being fined ten million, he finally rested, crying himself to sleep, knowing that justice was finally served and at least Jimin's name was cleared.
Kim Namjoon walked out as an innocent man when he was the silent culprit, and those women were just pawns in the game of his chess. Hence, Jungkook didn't entirely find peace with the verdict. Jungkook felt that perhaps Jimin let Namjoon go on purpose because if he did in fact tell about the things he had told him to the court, it would be obvious that he couldn't tell the jury the entire truth without hiding his secret. Jimin's sexuality was still kept intact from the world, which was what the actor wanted.
