Jungkook woke up with his lips on Jimin's neck. The two were crumpled on the couch. He smiled, looking at Jimin's possessive arm around his back. "Jimin," he called slowly. "Get up, it's Sunday."
"Every day is Sunday for me now, Jungkook." Jimin groaned, wanting the assistant to shut up, but he knew once Jungkook was up, it was impossible to make him go back to sleep.
"Don't say that. Your movie was a blockbuster. The court will be in your favor too, I am sure of it."
"Still doesn't change the fact that no one wants to work with me now." Jimin opened his eyes slowly.
"You don't know that. Give some time to everyone. People will forget and things will go back to normal. Let's start our Sunday on a positive note. We will brainstorm something later. But for now, let me make you some breakfast." Jungkook pecked the man's lips and walked away.
Jimin sat up with a headache brewing and looked out the window. With the sun thrashing his eyes, he squinted them and walked to get the curtains. One moment of peeking outside was enough to get his mind out of the clouds and he rushed up, closing all the curtains with the help of remotes with panic. "JUNGKOOK!"
"Huh?"
"JUNGKOOK!" Jimin screamed again when he didn't hear the younger's response immediately.
The 23-year-old came hurrying. "What's wrong?" He asked, his heart in his throat.
Jimin's tear-filled eyes faltered as he looked down at the ground. "Are your videography classes complete?" He asked, the thoughts in his head taking the form of a voice.
"They... Are. But why are you suddenly asking about it?"
"Then go to their office today. I'll send in my recommendation for your job." Jimin said, leaning down to grab his clothes and getting into them.
Jungkook only saw how the man wasn't looking at him. His demeanor had shifted so quickly. "I already have a job." He argued softly and slowly.
"Not for long. How will I pay you when I am out of work?" Jimin asked, now looking up and inching closer to the younger man.
"You don't have to pay me, Jimin," Jungkook gently held his hand.
Jimin felt like hugging him and crying in his arms, but he didn't. Instead, he pulled himself away and started laughing out loud. "And how much your savings are going to last? Or do you have a plan to freeload off of me once all your money is gone?"
"Jimin," Jungkook said in a hurt tone defensively, yet his eyes pleaded along with his tone. "Don't do this, please. Not like this. I will think about it. But I need some time. I am not saying I'll not do anything. We will figure it out together." He reached for the actor's arm again.
"No, Jungkook," Jimin pushed Jungkook's grip away gently. "You and I... We are going to have to choose our own paths from now on. Leave and get another job. Start fresh."
"No..." Jungkook's eyes brimmed and his head shook. He was dreading this moment, knowing it would come sooner or later, but seeing Jimin talk to him so rigidly was not what he had imagined, especially when the two were closer than ever. "I don't wanna leave you."
"Do you see any offers coming to me, Jungkook? I am finished... Okay? Stay with me and people will come after you."
"I don't care about people. Let them."
"Have you gone mad, Jungkook? Don't you read all the things they say about me? Your name is also popping up quite often. It will ruin your image. When everyone will turn against me, who will be even left for you to report or sue?" Jimin asked, grabbing his head and raking his hair roughly. His face turned red with how loud he was getting.
