Y/n glanced at the clock on the wall and sighed. "Done!" Y/n smiled at her two 4-year-olds. "What do we say after dinner?"

"Thanks mommy!"

Y/n giggled, "Go and get your pajamas and fetch your toothbrushes,"

"Yes mommy!" The two said and ran upstairs. When they were out of her eyesight, she let out an annoyed sigh and glared up at the clock, 'He's late... again...'

Y/n stood up from her seat and grabbed her children's plates and went to clean them.
When she was done, she dried her hands and went upstairs to help her kids brush their teeth.

"Kids! Get in here!" Y/n called from the bathroom and her twin daughter and son walked in, D/n (Daughter's name) in a pajamas with hero's on it and S/n (Son's name) in a pajamas with game controls on them.

Y/n smiled and held their toothbrushes. "Who wanna go first?" D/n reached up her hand and Y/n nodded.

"I wanna do it myself!" S/n said and Y/n looked at him, hesitating a bit until she sighed and handed him the toothbrush. Y/n put on some toothpaste on her daughter's toothbrush and then handed the toothpaste to her son who copied her motions and Y/n smiled as she began to help her daughter brush her teeth.

S/n tried his best but when Y/n noticed he struggled. She told him to sit on the toilet seat and she got her daughter's teeth done. "Alright, there you go, little lady," D/n giggled when her mother bopped her nose and she ran back to her room.

Y/n crouched before her son who was crossing his arms and had puffed his cheeks out as he pouted.

Y/n smiled, "Honey, darling, sweetheart,"

"No! I'm a big boy! I can do it myself!" He yelled and Y/n giggled, "S/n, you'll learn it, but it takes time, okay? Here, let me show you," she said and grabbed her own toothbrush.

"Hold it like this," Y/n said as she showed her son who did the same with his toothbrush.

"And motion the brush like this for two minutes. One minute on your upper pair of teeth, one minute on your lower pair of teeth. 'Kay?" S/n nodded and did like she said and Y/n smiled as he got better and better until the two minutes were over.

"There. You're done," she said and cleaned the toothbrush. "Go to bed and I'll be there in a minute," she said and S/n ran off when suddenly the door downstairs opened and Y/n's smile faded a bit.

Y/n walked downstairs and crossed her arms as she stared at her husband with a straight face. "You're late," Y/n said and Koichi looked at her in confusion, "N-No I'm not it's only... 6pm right?" He asked and Y/n arched an eyebrow. "Koichi, it's 9pm, the kids are just about to go to sleep," Kouchi looked at the clock and made a "Oh,"

Y/n sighed, "Just get up there and help me get them to sleep, that's the least you can do right now," Y/n said and walked upstairs with a guilty Koichi Zenigata.

When they walked into the room, the kids noticed their dad and the two smiled brightly as they ran up and hugged him, "Daddy!" They both yelled and Koichi smiled as he returned the hug. "Hey kiddos, sorry I'm late,"

"It's okay, daddy!"

"Yeah, we're used to it!" D/n said and walked back to the bed. That didn't help Koichi with his quilt and he watched as Y/n tugged their son in and kiss his forehead, "Goodnight, sweetheart,"

"Goodnight mommy, goodnight daddy!" S/n said and Koichi smiled as he ruffled the boy's hair, "Goodnight, son,"

The two then turned to D/n and the two smiled when they noticed their daughter about to fall asleep sitting up.

"Lay down, sweetheart," Y/n said and Koochi helped her lay down and he pulled the covers over her.

"Are you staying for breakfast tomorrow, daddy?" Koichi's smile slightly faded and Y/n frowned a bit, knowing the answer.

"I'm sorry, hon, but I have to go early in the morning," D/n pouted a bit and turned so her back faced him, "I understand..." she mumbled and Y/n looked down at her, noticing some tears in her eyes and she crouched down to wipe them away.

"Hon, daddy has a very important job... he's chasing after the thief, you remember?"

"Yeah... but daddy is never home... I miss him," Y/n glanced never at Koichi and she motioned with her eyes to make him say something to comfort their daughter.

"Daddy will talk yo you, sweetie, I'll go downstairs for a bit, goodnight," Y/n whispered and kissed her forehead before leaving Koichi to talk to their daughter.

Koichi walked downstairs to find his wife sit by the table, eating the leftovers of the dinner. Koichi walked over and hugged her neck and put his chin on top of her head, "I'm sorry, I should've taken days off to help you and spend time with you and the kids..." Y/n slightly huffed, "Yeah..." she said and pushed away the plate filled with food.

"You're not gonna eat?" Koichi asked and sat down beside her on another chair. "No appetite," she answered and Koichi sighed, "Did you eat before?" Y/n just looked away and Koichi grabbed her hands. "Y/n, please, you need to eat, or you'll get into old habits again," he said and Y/n covered her eyes with her hands, "It's just... I'm kidding you, everyday and... when you're not returning home by the end of the day I... I get nervous and anxious something might have happened to you and I... I'm scared, the kids always ask where you are and... I always have to act brave and happy around them and say that their father is a work, fighting bad guys but... deep down I...I'm worried you might go out of that door one day... and never come back..." Y/n said, now not fighting the tears.

Koichi frowned and held her cheek, wiping away her tears with his thumb, "I'll always come back to you and the kids. There's not a single minute I do not think of the feeling of returning home to my small but beautiful family... You mean the world to me, Y/n. My work might be dangerous, sure... but I've done this for years and know what I'm doing... my motivation of my work is you, because I know once I'm done... I'll return home to you, S/n and D/n," Koichi reassured and Y/n hugged him tightly.

Koichi smiled and hugged tighter and pressed his lips against her own. "I love you, Y/n," he whispered as they parted and Y/n kissed his cheek, "I love you too, Koichi,"

"I'll talk to my boss and... ask him for some time off,"

Y/n looked up at him, "You mean it?" Koichi smiled and caressed her cheek, "Yes... I have a family to care for, after all, now don't I?"
