Goemon x mermaid!reader

The Lupin gang were having a day off from the thief world. They decided to go out to sea and relax, to get away from the civilization.

Goemon were sitting up on deck, looking over the sea as Lupin and Fujiko were sunbathing and Jigen steered the boat.

Lupin had a radio in hand, not letting the peaceful moment be so peaceful. "Lupin, turn that damn radio off!" Jigen yelled and Lupin smirked, "Hmm, not feeling like it," He said.

Goemon rolled his eyes when he suddenly made eye contact with a unfamiliar pair of e/c eyes. But what surprised him more... was that she was underneath the water.

The woman smiled up at him.
Goemon rubbed his eyes and opened them again to see her gone. "Hey Goemon! What's the matter?" Lupin asked and Goemon looked away. "Nothing,"

It was nighttime and the four were having a fun time drinking, dancing, and singing. When they suddenly heard a yell they was hoping for not to hear, "Lupin!"

"What the-Pops... here?!" Lupin asked and pushed Jigen to drive off with the boat as they all pulled out their guns and sword.
"Lupin? What are we gotta do now?" Fujiko asked as they got surrounded by boats filled with cops.

"Be ready to jump into the water," he mumbled. "Shore is just a couple minutes away. If we can swim towards the island, then we'll have enough time to loos them," He mumbled and the others nodded, "You're not getting away this time, Lupin!"

"One..."

"I've thought of everything,"

"Two..."

"So just surrender nice and friendly!"

"Three!" Lupin called and jumped down the water, sending some panic to some of the cops who shoot down at the water, "Don't shoot you idiots!" The cops stopped shooting, but what they did not know, was that they shoot Goemon in the side.

Goemon watched as Fujiko, Lupin, and Jigen swam off before him. He tried to keep up to them but the pain of the gunshot was too much to bear and he felt himself collapse.

The water kept him from breathing and he just felt his body fall into the dark deep... until something... or someone, caught him and got up to the shore.

When he was laying in the sand, Goemon opened his eyes a little, he saw a glimpse of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen... She looked him over worriedly and then held a hand on his wound.

Goemon felt as the bleeding stopped and his wound was healed fully.
"Who... are you?" He mumbled and the woman smiled down at him, glad his okay.

She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out when she heard footsteps from afar.
She looked down at Goemon a bit sadly before getting back into the water and she swam away, leaving Goemon by himself on the beach of the island.

Goemon heard his voice be called by his partners in crime but he fell back into an unconscious sleep.

Goemon woke up, only to be on a bed.
The island they had arrived on was none other island than Hawaii.
Goemon sat up and looked around to see Jigen by a couch, "Jigen,"

"Ah, good, your awake,"

"Where is this?"

"Hawaii, never been here?"

"No, can't say I have," the samurai said and Jigen huffed. "Then go and have a look, Lupin went out with Fujiko,"

Goemon sighed, "Why am I not surprised," he mumbled and walked out of the house when he remembered the woman who saved him.

"I have to see her again..." he mumbled and walked towards the beach he had been taken when saved.

His usual non-emotional expression changed into a slight smile when he noticed the woman sit on a rock in the middle of the water a little bit away from the beach.

"Hello?" He called and the woman turned and smiled at him. She went into the water and swam over, the top part of her body showed over the water while her lower part were still underneath.

"We're you... the one who saved me?" The woman smiled and nodded and Goemon sat down in the sand before her.
"What's your name?"

"Y/n, what about you?" Goemon smiled at the sound of her voice. It was cheerful and sweet.
"Goemon Ishikawa..." Y/n smiled, "I'm glad you're okay,"

"It's all thanks to you," Goemon said and Y/n giggled.

The rest of the day, Goemon and Y/n learned more things about each other... until Goemon asked a question that quite bothered him.
"I have a question..."

"Yeah?"

"...How come you're under water all the time?" Y/n's smiled faded a bit as she raised her lower body part to show up a mermaid's tail.

"I'm a mermaid... I'm not human like you," she said sadly and Goemon stare at her in shock.

"You're... a what? But... they're only in legends and-"

"No, we're real, though not so many, we're almost instinct and legends make us all evil... but we're not, some may be, but not all of us," she explained and Goemon nodded and stared her up and down. "You're beautiful..." he whispered and Y/n looked at him in shock.

She then smiled, "Thanks-"

"Goemon! Where are you?"

Goemon sighed, "I have to go," Y/n nodded and pushed herself up a bit more so she was beside him and she kissed his cheek.

"I hope I'll see you again someday, Goemon Ishikawa," she said and jumped back into e water and swam off, waving goodbye with her tail.

Goemon held his cheek where she kissed and he smiled, "I hope so too, Y/n,"
