Y/n L/n, a young woman who worked as a gardener and lived a peaceful life at the outskirts of the loud New York City.

Flowers, vegetables, fruits or plants in general, it all made her day to work with it.

Today, she was on her way to a small market that holds every year.
Y/n parked her truck and stepped out to be faced by her rival, R/n (Rival's name).
"Well, well, well, isn't it Y/n L/n. King time no see,"

"Not long enough," Y/n mumbled and R/n growled, "We'll see who wins this year, L/n,"

Y/n frowned, "Bring it on, R/l/n (Rival's last name),"

Every year at the market holds a competition on who has sold most of their products.
Y/n and R/n always been rivals since they were little kids as they both joined their parents to the competition. One year, it's R/l/n family who wins, the other it's L/n.

But lately, Y/n have been taking first place more often because of her sweet jam that she makes from different berries, fruits and even vegetables.

Y/n watched R/n walk away as she took out her boxes filled with jam jars and walked over to her table.

But on her way, she tripped over a rock. Y/n felt her heart drop and closed her eyes to be ready to smash into the ground and heard the shatter of the glass jars but it never came.

Instead of a hard fall and shattered glass, Y/n was caught in a pair of string arms and a voice say, "Easy now," and so she opened her eyes to be meet by a man who looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties. He had black hair and a hat on top of his head that covered his eyes.

Y/n put her hands on the man's chest to support herself to stand up onto her feet again. "T-Thank you, sir,"

"Don't worry about it," he said and Y/n then reminded herself of the jam so she quickly looked behind the stranger to see. Two other men holding the two boxes.

Y/n sighed in relief, "Thank you so much," she said as the two put the boxes onto the table nearby. "Don't mention it, its the least we can do," The one with a red jacket spoke and Y/n looked at the Samurai to see he was looking at the jars of jam. Y/n giggled. "Wanna try?" The black haired samurai looked at her and nodded slightly.

Y/n smiled as she walked towards the table and took our three spoons and them opened one jar and then handed the spoons ti the three.

They tried the jam and they all smiled as their eyes lit up with fascination. "This is good, what is it?"

"It's cranberry jam,"

"It's really tasty," The one who had caught Y/n said and the woman smiled, "Thank you,"

"You're welcome, I wish you luck at the competition later," The man spoke and Y/n smiled. "How about... we make a deal?"

"A deal?"

"I win, I'll take you out for dinner,"

"A date?"

"Yeah,"

"And if you lose?" The man asked and Y/n looked to be in thought and shrugged, "I got nothing at the moment, you could... get my prize money...? If I get third or second place that is," The man smirked slightly and shook her hand, "You got yourself a deal,"

1st ending
"And the winner is... Y/n L/n!" The market cheered as Y/n smiled proudly and walked up on the small stage and took the first prize. Y/n glanced over at R/n and smirked with a huff as the other woman growled and gritted her teeth before storming off.

Y/n stepped down from the stage and over to her table to see no other than the man from before leaving against her truck. Y/n smiled, "Seems like we're going on a dinner date, then. When are you free?"

"Well... I'm free now," Y/n smiled, "Then let's get these jars packed up and we'll head somewhere, I know a place,"

As the two took their seats in her truck, Y/n turned to the man, "That's right, I never got your name, sir..."

"It's Jigen, Jigen Daisuke," Y/n was a bit shocked to hear that name.

"Well, nice to meet you Jigen, the name is Y/n L/n," Jigen smirked and Y/n started to drive off.
