Y/n flew up in bed, sweat falling from her forehead causing her hair to stick to her skin as she breathed heavily.

A nightmare... the third one this week...
And all of them about the same thing... Her loosing Goemon Ishikawa... her boyfriend of 4 years now.

Y/n looked to her side to see his space of the bed empty. She panicked and stood up and began to search the apartment for him... He was no where to be seen. Y/n remembered his katana stand and walked up to see it gone.

Y/n's eyes began to water as her lips quivered. Did he leave her? Just like in her dreams? Was she that much of a burden to him?

As Y/n continued to think all sorts of things, she started to softly sob before hearing the front door open and she ran towards the front door to see Goemon about to take off his shoes... He noticed her tear stained face and panicked, "Y/n, what's the matter?" He asked.

Y/n blushed and cried as she hugged him, her face buried in his chest. Goemon looked down at her concerned and picked her up. Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist as she hurried her face in the crook of his neck.

Goemon made his way towards the bedroom and sat down with his back against the bed's headboard.

"Did you have another nightmare?" Y/n slowly nodded as she was now sitting in his lap. Goemon sighed and picked her up a bit to lay her beside him as he laid down himself beside her only to feel her climb on top of him again and hug him tightly, her head now placed on his chest.

"W-Where were you?" Y/n whispered in a stutter and Goemon stroke her hair. "Lupin and Jigen needed some help. I didn't want to wake you, and I thought that I would be home before you were awake,"

"N-Never leave me... please Goemon..." Y/n mumbled and Goemon kissed the top of her head. "Never..."

Y/n closed her eyes and smiled shyly when she heard his quick but still calming heartbeat. It almost soothed her to sleep.

This way, the sound of his heartbeat... she now knew... he would never leave her.
