I wake up the next day feeling as if I haven't slept at all. Groggily I walk towards the bathroom and do my morning ritual before I slip into another pair of jeans and a shirt. My outfit was the least of my problems today, and that was certain when the pit of guilt I felt yesterday came rolling back. The guilt I felt didn't even vanish when I went downstairs and smelled pancake batter from the kitchen.

"Morning." I said sitting down in one of the chairs. I decide to act totally normal, like yesterday never happened- at least in front of my brothers. Mom had told me she didn't say anything to them, and told Steph and Cam I had gone out. I was really thankful for that, since I'm not proud of how I reacted. Anyways that was a matter I'd think about later.

"Who had you gone out to meet yesterday?" Steph asked in a suggestive tone.

"A friend." I said plainly, but I felt my stupid cheeks heat up at the thought of the kiss. Yes, even though I had kissed my friend's crush.

"And could you maybe mention this friend's name?" Cam asked, I rolled my eyes.

"Carly." I said, saying the first girl's name that came to mind.

"Lie. She came by yesterday." He said snorting, my mouth popped open.

"What, why?" I asked.  Could she have found out about Ryan spending the day with me?

Or worse the kiss?

Had she found out by Scarlet?

Was Scarlet spying on us?!

"Dunno. She asked about you and I told her you weren't home." Cam said shrugging. Shrills went down my spine, but not the good ones. I felt sweat form on my forehead as my expression became worried.

"So where were you really?" Steph asked.

"Wherever she was does not matter to you guys. She doesn't have to tell you boys, so please finish your breakfast." Ethan said sternly as he flipped a pancake.

Mom drank her coffee silently, but gave me a wink before cutting up a pancake into little pieces for Zack.

"Okay." Both of them mumbled.

"So I need to drop you off for basketball right?" Mom asked Stephan, he nodded.

"And what are you going to be doing today?" She asked me.

"Not sure, I've got some homework to finish, so might just do that today." I said.

"Alright. And are you planning on doing any homework at all Cam?" Mom asked him.

"Well, I've done my homework, so I'm gonna be out." He said, mom raised an eyebrow.

"You aren't in college yet, where do you plan on going today?" She asked.

"Um shopping, sta-stationary shopping?" He asked as if it was a question.

"Fine, but then bring the grocery as well, I'll give you the list." Ethan said. Cam's face slightly went crooked and I could see Steph trying to hold in a laugh.

I went upstairs after helping Ethan clean up, and searched in my bag for my math notebook. I had a little bit of homework and I was hoping to finish it today and have it all right. Thanks to Mr. Bryan being to cranky and strict I really had to work to impress him because he for some reason just didn't like me. Suddenly my phone got a notification and I checked who it's from.
