Last Minute Change Of Mind (Perrie)

Summary: Perrie is finally getting married to Zayn and everything is going amazing up until she notices Y/N in the crowd. Coincidentally, Perrie has completely fallen in love with Y/N despite being with Zayn... What happens next? (Y/N is a member of One Direction)

Perrie's POV: It's a gorgeous day for a wedding, I cannot wait to marry Zayn! We've been planning the entire wedding out for months and now it's like a fairytale or a dream finally coming true... but there's been something else on my mind lately and that's Y/N, my best friend, I've grown fond of him and over the last few years, developed a massive crush on him.

Y/N's is definitely my type, a man who's not bothered about being himself and being a weirdo, he's got a sense of humour that could make anyone laugh uncontrollably to, he has a love for animals and helping others and overall, a very charming friend of mine. From his broad shoulders to his chisled jaw, he's definitely a handsome lad.

But, why am I thinking about this on my wedding day? Especially since my groom isn't him but deep down, I wish he was.... Come on, Perrie, get your mind out of this state and snap out of it for crying out loud! You are getting married to Zayn! I begin to rethink my decision about marrying Zayn, my mind wants Zayn but my heart desperately wants Y/N and you know what they always say? Do what your heart is telling you....

I find Y/N thankfully alone on the phone, he doesn't seem to notice my presence so I quickly hide behind the wall and decide to listen in.
"I understand what you're saying, mate. But she's getting married today, I can't just go up to her and tell her that I've been in love with her for the last 5 years!" Y/N exclaims to the person on the other line. "You're talking absolute shite, there's no bloody way that she likes me, Liam! Besides, she's getting married to our bandmate, why are you even suggesting this!" He's definitely talking about me so I can't help but grin to myself as he walks past without noticing me.

"Pez, babe? What are you doing out here? The wedding starts in an hour!" Jade appears, leaning against the wall with me. I've told Leigh and Jade all about how I feel about Y/N and they think that I should just leave Zayn and get with him instead because let's just say that they aren't the biggest fans of Zayn.
"I've just heard Y/N talking about me to Liam on the phone and he admitted that he had feelings for me." I tell her, a smile slowly grows on both of our faces.
"I told you that he liked you, babe." She giggles but her expression then drops, suddenly. "What about you and Zayn?"
"I've made my mind up, I'm finally following what my heart is telling me and go with Y/N..." I reveal and she smiles.
"I have a good plan, follow me." She tells me, cheekily laughing before leading me to Leigh-Anne.

During the wedding ceremony, Y/N's POV: Now, it's time for the wedding between Zayn and Perrie and I have to be one of his groomsmen along with Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall. Liam, Niall and Louis know all about my feelings towards Perrie and I can just sense them giving me looks of sympathy throughout the ceremony.
"Is there anyone who do not believe that these two should not be married?" The officiant asks everybody but a voice sounds out, Jade and Leigh-Anne get out of their seats.

Jade's POV: I can just see the smirk on Perrie's face as the two of us arise from our seats.
"Now, let me just say that there's somebody in this room who have fallen completely in love with Perrie who isn't Zayn..." Leigh-Anne announces. "He knows exactly whom he is and so I'd like to invite the lad up." We both look directly at Y/N and he immediately bursts out a smile.

"Oh fuck no! This is not happening on my special day!" Zayn snaps out of nowhere, grabbing Y/N by the shirt aggressively, showing off his jealous and possesive side that none of us have seen before. "You better be fucking lying, Thirlwall! Perrie is mine and always will be mine."
"Zayn, leave him alone!" Perrie stands up for Y/N but Zayn ignores her and throws Y/N to the ground and begins to beat the living shit out of him.

Y/N's POV: "YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING, Y/N! YOU'RE A FUCKING BASTARD AND I HOPE YOU GO TO HELL!" Zayn tells me after finally being pulled off of me by his father. I feel a few drops of blood spill onto my hand before I cough up a substantial amount of blood, Liam grabs a tissue and wipes my hand clean before more blood comes out and Louis immediately phones an ambulance.

After leaving the hospital, I'm immediately stuck with millions of questions about what happened that day, does Perrie actually like me in that way or was it just a prank? We have a tendency for pranking each other but this is a little far if you ask me. Liam walks into the room with a glass of water, we've been roommates for a long time.
"Liam, was everything said by Jade at that wedding true?" I ask him, taking a couple of sips of water. To my surprise, he nods and I bite my lip out of nervousness.
"I mean, what happened at that wedding has the whole world talking! Mostly about how Zayn and Perrie are no longer a thing and that surprising reveal." Liam responds, sitting on the couch next to me.
"Do you think she still feels the same way now?" I ask him and he shrugs, switching on the television.
"You don't know unless you find out, mate..." He tells me so later that day, I decide to head over to Perrie and Jade's flat, they've been living together ever since the wedding flop.

I nervously knock at the door and eventually Jade opens the door up, smiling.
"Hi, Y/N. How are you feeling?" She inquires, leaning against the doorframe.
"I'm doing better, is Perrie in by any chance?" I ask her, apprehensively looking at her. "I wanted to talk to her..."
"Yeah, I'll go and get her quickly." Jade smiles at me, disappearing out of sight. I can hear her call Perrie's name and Perrie's response which makes me even more anxious.

Perrie opens the door and has a sheepish expression on her face as we awkwardly stand there, staring at each other.
"Hi, Y/N." She nervously scratches the back of her head, averting all eye contact away from me.
"Hi, Perrie. I just wanted to come and apologise for completely ruining your wedding with Zayn..." I reply but she giggles at me and I just pull a puzzled expression.
"Y/N, you didn't ruin anything... I feel the same way about you that you do about me." She smiles at me and I then realise that she actually does like me. "Come here, you dumbass."

She pulls me into a passionate kiss and I kiss back immediately, lightly pushing her up against the wall.
"You two better not be fucking over there!" Jade butts in, we both turn around and see her walk in and out of our view whist playing on her phone. "Just keep it down."

Me and Perrie just laugh before looking back into each other's eyes, both full of admiration and genuine desire for the other.
"Perrie, do you wanna go out with me?" I ask her and she nods, giving me another kiss.

A few years pass and Perrie's name switches from Edwards to Y/L/N as we get married in a hassle-free and gorgeous wedding ceremony, the constant sound of children's feet plodding around comes after as we finally live happily ever after...

Who knew ruining a wedding could lead to something like this?
