Summary: Jade has a 7 year old daughter named Elizabeth but everyone just calls her Lizzie, Y/N is essentially her stepdad as Jade and Y/N are dating and Y/N treats Lizzie like his own daughter. One day, Jade invites Y/N over to watch Lizzie as she has to head to the studio with the other girls. Y/N and Lizzie decide to watch a film together and Lizzie calls Y/N 'Dad' for the first time ever which warms his heart.

Y/N's POV

So, my girlfriend and I have known each other since we were in primary school and we have done basically everything together ever since and have been inseparable best friends since we were 6, right?

So you could definitely tell that I was completely shocked when she told me that she was pregnant 7 years ago with her and her ex-boyfriend's daughter but that he broke up with her the moment that she revealed the amazing news with Lizzie's biological father, leaving her more than devastated so I decided to be the father figure in this child's life as I believe that every child deserves a good father figure in their life especially if their own father isn't in the picture...

So I decided to be the father that Lizzie never had ever since she was born and that also brought me and Jade closer together to the point that we fell for one another and began dating when Jade was 7 months pregnant.

I have been there for Lizzie since she was born and I have not regretted a single moment at all, she is honestly the most amazing little girl in the universe...

She has always seen me as a father but has never called me 'Dad' which is understandable since she knows that I'm not her biological father but I have always treated her like she is my biological daughter no matter what anyone else says!

Anyway, Jade has to go to the studio for a very important meeting so she asked me if I could take care of Lizzie for a few hours which I obviously accepted and headed over to their house immediately. I am currently saving up the money to afford to live with Jade since I currently live in a cheap and disgusting apartment in London where I barely am able to pay my bloody monthly rent...

"Thanks for looking after Lizzie for me, baby." Jade tells me, smiling at me as we both watch Lizzie run around like a maniac, giggling adorably "I really appreciate it..."

"Darling, you know how much I love her so there's no way that I would ever say no to this, you head out and go out with the girls if you want to... Call me if you get into any trouble or get too drunk." I playfully tell her, lightly pushing her out of the front door while kissing her forehead. "Give me a kiss before you head out though!"

"You're like a immature child, Mr. Y/L/N..." She playfully rolls her eyes at me, pulling me into a passionate kiss. "I love you, don't keep her up for too long..."

"Yeah but I'm your immature child, Miss Thirlwall! I love you more!" I wave her off, watching her get into her car before shutting the door shut to find Lizzie standing there, cheekily smiling her butt off at me.

"Let's have some fun! What do you wanna do?" I enthusiastically ask her, picking her up into my arms.

"Can we watch a film, please?!" She inquires, cocking her head to the side.

"Of course we can, what do you wanna watch?"

"Aladdin! Aladdin! Aladdin! It's my favourite Disney film! Can I also have a hot choccy?!"

"Your mother and you share the same favourite Disney film, I wonder if you two could possibly get more adorable?" I smile at her, carrying her to the living room where I plop her on the couch before heading into the kitchen and getting the both of us a hot chocolate before carrying them both into the living room and handing her the cup.

I find the DVD in the film rack before inserting it into the DVD player before settling down onto the couch with Lizzie unexpectedly cuddling into me as the intro to the film begins to play.

I pull her into my embrace, lovingly kissing the top of her head...

There are moments in life when I just want the world to stop for a while and allow me to enjoy them, this is definitely one of them if I'm being honest.

"Daddy, when are you gonna move in with me and mammy?" She asks me, taking me off-guard with he fact that she had just called me 'Dad' for the first time but I have to remain calm at the moment.

"I promise you that I'm working on it, love." I smile down at her. "Why do you ask?"

"I dunno, I just see all these mums and dads all married and happy together but you two aren't?" She shrugs her shoulders, her eyes glued to the film on the television.

I pull my phone and decide to text Jade about what just happened:

Your daughter just called me 'Dad' for the first time, darling and I'm so happy 😁😁

Not too long afterwards, I get a notification back from her

Oh, that's amazing, babe! Send her millions of kisses from me 🤍🤍🤍

Later, I am just watching as her eyes begin to droop and her breathing slows down before she falls asleep against my shoulder so I switch the TV off and cuddle down with her, pulling her on top of my chest and eventually fall asleep...

Jade's POV- A hour later

I arrive home from the studio and the house is completely silent but the light snoring that comes from the living room, I don't know how I managed to hear it from the front door but I'm assuming that it's Y/N because he does snore quite loudly which always makes me laugh.

I wander into the living room to be greeted with the wholesome sight of my daughter asleep on my boyfriend's chest.

I rub her head and she mumbles something in her sleep but allows me to lift her into my arms, carrying her to her bed. I lay her in her bed and give her a goodnight kiss before heading back downstairs to find Y/N still fast asleep on the couch.

I prod his shoulder and he grumbles at me in his sleep before opening his tired eyes and looking at me and smiling.

"I put Lizzie to bed, let's get you to bed, mister." I tell him and he nods in response, getting off the couch and heading upstairs to our bedroom where he just flops onto our bed after getting into his pyjamas. I get into my pyjamas before getting into bed, crawling into his embrace before he gives me a kiss on the head as we both fall asleep....
