Josephine's head rests on my shoulder as I drive my truck, a soft tune playing from the radios.

We've been dancing and making out the entire night. We also spent time with her friends and my family.

We finally decided to call it a night right after the clock hit midnight.

Lusso isn't far from where Josephine lives but I'm driving extra slow so I can live in this moment a little longer.

My hand is caressing her thigh, her dress riding up every time I subtly pull it up further with my hand.

"My ears are still kinda buzzing." She mutters.

"Mine, too." At a red stop, I put a finger under her chin to lift her face. She beams at me as I kiss her forehead, then her pouty lips.

The light turns green and I drive again.

Her stomach grumbles loudly in the truck, and she groans as she hides her face in my arm.

"You hungry, Josephine?" I pat her stomach, chucking.

"Yes." Is her mumbled response.

A drop of water hits the window as I slow down so I can take an exit to a fast-food joint. "What do you want? Chicken nuggets?"

"Mhmm." She's only had two vodka sodas, and she's already a little droopy and tired. "And fries. And a cheeseburger. Please."

She pouts and bats her eyelashes. I park the car and softly pinch her cheeks.

"Of course, honey." I give both sides of her face a kiss.

We both enter the restaurant. I order what she wants and also fries for me.

The entire time, I watch her eat her food. She groans and moans with every bite, pleased with the food. It's not like we're in a Michelin star restaurant, but she's still immensely enjoying her food.

My legs extend, and I circle her ankles with mine.

"Leave some for me." I joke, attempting to grab a nugget from her.

She swats my hand away and frowns. "No. Go get your own."

"Sharing is caring."

"Not when it comes to food."

I pout, and she rolls her eyes.

"Fine." She inserts a nugget in my mouth and gives me another one in my hands.

"Thanks." I say with a mouth full.

"Shit."

It started raining like crazy after we sat down to eat our fast food. My car is parked a good distance away and we'll be soaking wet when we enter it.

"Stay here," I turn to her. "I'll round the car as close to the door as possible."

I kiss the top of her head and take a step forward.

"Wait."

I face her again.

"Have you ever danced in the rain?" She asks, biting down on her lip.

I near her and wrap my arms around her waist.

"I don't think so, no."

"Me neither." She whispers, a gleam in her eyes.

"You think it's a coincidence it's raining buckets right now?" I say in a hushed voice, my lips almost touching hers.
