Going out, partying and getting drunk has never appealed to me. During my high school years, I mainly focused on having great grades to get into my top choice college. And during college, I was so focused on my studies, assignments, and exams that I didn't even have the time to go out and party.

With the little free time I had, I did some other things I liked. Like baking. Or most of the time I went and spent time with my family and friends.

Tonight is the first time I've gone out clubbing since I started my job at the MM hospital a few months back.

The hospital where Leo goes.

That same Leo who just two seconds ago waved to me and bought me a round of shots.

It's not like this is the first time someone bought me a drink. But it is the first time a handsome and Adonis-like person bought me a drink.

When I recognized him, I didn't know what to do, so, I just tipped my glass to him and went back to my friends, Candice and Ananya.

They see me approaching them with wide eyes, and I keep on walking as far away as possible from the bar.

"Oh my God!" I shout over the music, then hand them their shot glasses. I don't wait for them to cheer and just tip the glass back.

"You look like you've seen a ghost, girl." Ananya tells me.

"I just embarrassed myself." We reach a high table and we stand around it. We huddle close to each other. It's so packed tonight, even though it's Wednesday.

"This is nothing new. You always do embarrassing stuff." Candice smirks, and I pinch her butt. "Ouch."

"Someone bought me this round of shots and it happens to be the handsome hospital dude."

"What handsome hospital dude? Wait... do you mean the handsome hospital dude?" Ananya gasps and turns around to try and locate him. I grab her shoulders and turn her back towards the bar again.

"Don't look." I hiss.

"Is he close?"

Anya works with me at the hospital, and she knows about Leo. She said she's even treated him once, so she knew who I was talking about. She said he's practically a regular there. Well, when he's home from the army.

"Hold on... if he bought you these drinks, why are you not talking with him at the moment?" She looks at me like I lost my mind.

"That's the part where I embarrassed myself."

"What'd you do?" They both cringe before I even begin talking.

I tell them how I had a brain fart, and I practically ran out back to my friends. My thoughts immediately went to that gorgeous girl he was standing next to before I ordered that round of shots. I assumed it was his girlfriend and my hand did the first thing that came to mind and I just turned around and fled from sight. Now I know it's not his girlfriend because I saw her on my way to the other side of the club dancing with another guy and their lips were locked together.

When I finish talking, they both burst out laughing. Yup, those are my friends. They laugh when I tell them embarrassing stories. Even sad ones, they just burst out laughing.

"If it makes you feel better, it was not that embarrassing. He probably just thinks you're taken." Anya tries to make me feel less self-conscious.

I think I have this rare disorder where I will continue to think about every little detail of every moment of my day and how awkward I was. How I could've said this instead of that. How I should have done that instead of this. But these two amazing friends, even though they constantly make fun of me, keep me grounded and always try to make me overthink less.
