After speaking with Risa, Leni took her phone and dialed the number given to her by Jorgina.
"Hello. Good evening!" Jorgina said in a sweet but lively voice
Leni could not believe that after all that had happened during the pre-rally and the rally, Jorgina is still so energetic like her.
"Hi Jorgina. This is Mama Leni." she said
Jorgina was not able to register what the vice president just said.
"Mama Leni. Mama Leni." these words keep echoing in her mind
"Hello po, madam VP." she said still formal since nothing has been proven yet
"Nasaan ka ngayon?" Leni asked
"Nandito na po ako ngayon sa bahay, ma'am." she answered
"Aalis na kasi kami bukas kaya gusto ko sanang makausap ka ngayon." Leni told her
"Yes ma'am. Sure po. Free naman po ako ngayong gabi." Jorge answered
"Text mo sa akin ang address mo, please. Susunduin kita. Magdala ka na rin ng damit for overnight kasi dito ka na sa hotel matutulog." Leni said
"Okay po ma'am." Jorge said and immediately texted her address to VP Leni
"Ma, pa, maliligo lang po ako. Pinapatawag po ako ni VP Leni. Gusto niya raw po akong kausapin at doon na po ako sa hotel matutulog. Uuwi ako bukas." Jorge said to her parents
"Ingat ka, nak." her papa told her
Jorge went to the bathroom and took a quick bath. Then she prepared her clothes while drying her hair. She also prepared some travel essentials. After that, her parents escorted her outside their house while waiting for VP Leni to arrive.
A few minutes later, a black van stopped right in front of their house and she and her parents went out of the gate. VP Leni then went out of the van.
"Good evening po, madam vice president." she greeted her
"Good evening din, Jorge." Leni told her
"Madam, these are my parents." Jorge introduced her parents to Leni
"Ma, pa, si VP Leni po." she said and introduced Leni to them
"Magandang gabi po, madam VP." her parents said
"Good evening din po." Leni answered and reached out for their hands
"Pasensya na po kayo at gabi na ay ipinatawag ko pa po si Jorge. Aalis na po kasi kami bukas pabalik ng Manila dahil may rally kami sa Isabela kaya kailangan ko po talagang makausap si Jorge." Leni said apologizing to the couple for the late notice
"Wala po iyon ma'am. Kami nga po ang dapat na humingi ng tawad sa inyo dahil kinuha namin si Jorge at itinago sa loob ng almost 20 years." her mom said
"Wala yun. Ang importante, nandito na siya. Kailangan ko lang siyang kausapin at may proseso lang pong pagdadaanan." VP Leni answered
"Maraming salamat po, ma'am." Jorge's parents thanked VP Leni
"Lumalalim na po ang gabi. Kailangan na po naming umalis." Leni said
"Thank you for taking care of her." she said to Jorge's parents
They went inside the van and went to the hotel. Upon arriving at the reception, she added Jorge as an additional guest to their room.
VP Leni, frugal as she is had booked a Double Room with Two Double Beds for her and her two daughters. The room can accommodate up to 4 people so it was easy to add Jorge as an additional guest.
After that, they went to their hotel room and found Aika and Tricia eating pizza.
"Hi ma! Hi Jorge!" Aika said and went to Jorge to hug her
"Hello Jorge!" said Tricia and hugged her too
The welcome was so warm and the Robredo Sisters are so kind and warm towards her.
"Upo ka Jorge." Leni told her
Jorge went to sit at the bed opposite to Aika and Tricia. Leni joined them a few moments later.
"Jorge, gusto kong malaman ang totoo." Leni said
Jorge took out the little wooden box that she got from her nanay and handed it to VP Leni.
"2 weeks ago po, isinugod sa ospital ang lola ko at dahil sa takot niya na baka mawala siya sa mundo, sinabi niya sa akin na hanapin ko daw po yan para malaman ko ang tunay kong pagkatao." Jorge started telling the story
Leni first took the pink swaddle blanket out of the box with her name embroidered on it.
"Sabi po ni mama, yan daw po ang lampin kung saan ako nakabalot noong araw na naaksidente tayo." Jorge explained
Leni then took out the pink pair of newborn clothes and gloves.
"At iyan daw po ang suot kong damit noong araw na iyon." she continued
Then Leni took out the diary that was in the box as well.
"Yan po ang diary ng lola ko. Diyan niya po isinulat yung mga nangyari noong sila ay nasa Naga para magbakasyon." she explained
Leni read what was written in the diary until she came to the last entry, the day of the accident. While reading, her tears started to form at the corner of her eyes but she still focuses her attention on what she is reading. After reading the diary, she turned to Jorge and went to her side and put her hands on Jorge's right shoulder.
"May I?" she asked asking for permission from Jorge if she could see her right shoulder
"Opo." Jorge said
When she slid Jorge's sleeves down her shoulders, a butterfly birthmark caught her eyes. She looked at it carefully and took out a photo of her newborn Jorgina which exposed her butterfly birthmark at her right shoulder.
After that, tears started to fall from her eyes.
The queen of receipts being given several receipts to support her claim of being the fourth Robredo daughter.
Leni sobbed quietly and Jorge started to cry as well. Aika and Tricia went to them and comforted them both.
"Can I hug you?" Leni asked Jorge
Jorge nodded and Leni hugged her so tight that no one wants to let go. Jorge can feel the love of Leni towards her. When they let go of the very warm embrace, Leni faced Jorge and said.
"Alam kong marami kang resibo para mapatunayan na ikaw yung bunso kong anak pero kailangan nating makasiguro." Leni told her
Jorge was just listening to her.
"Hindi ka namin maisasama bukas dahil may rally kami sa Isabela pero sasabihan ko bukas ang secretary ko na ipag-book ka ng flight papuntang Manila sa Sunday at magkikita tayo ulit." Leni said
"Okay po." Jorge answered and Leni hugged her again
After they talked, Aika told them
"Kain muna tayo."
Leni went to get a slice of pizza and asked
"Saan galing itong pizza?" Leni asked
"Kay Sen. Risa po, ma. Para daw may makain tayo after ninyo mag-iyakan." Tricia said
"Ma, kanino po pala tatabi si Jorge?" Aika asked
"Sa akin siya tatabing matulog." Leni asnwered
And they feasted on the pizza that Risa ordered for them.
