Leni and her kids were still jet-lagged because of their flight. They were not able to sleep the night that they arrived from the US so they were able to witness the sunrise however, when it was already 9 in the morning, they felt sleepy.
"Ma, matutulog po muna kami. Inaantok na po kami." Aika said in behalf of her siblings
"Sige. Tutulog na rin ako mamaya. Kailangan niyong magising ng 1 PM ha para maka-prepare tayo papunta sa Batasan." Leni told them
"Sure po, ma." the girls replied and they went to Leni's room and slept
Leni is standing in front of Jesse's bust, just staring at it. Then she touched it's face.
"Bok, ito na. Natupad na yung pangarap mo na magkaroon ng gobyernong tapat. Magiging pangulo na ako ng bansa." she said talking to her husband
"Pero kasi hindi dapat ako yung nandito sa posisyon na ito eh, ikaw dapat to eh. Pero alam mo bok, nagpapasalamat ako kasi palagi ka pa ring naandiyan para sa amin nang mga bata. Tapos na sa pag-aaral ang tatlo. Si Jill babalik ng New York sa September para magtrabaho, si Aika at Tricia naman ay babalik na rin sa kanya-kanya nilang mga trabaho at si Jorge naman, dito na mag-aaral sa Manila pagdating ng pasukan. In 2 years time, ga-graduate na rin siya. Alam mo bang masaya kami sa US trip namin? Plano pa sana naming pumunta ng Boston para maipakita kay Jorge kung saan tayo tumira noon at kung saan nabuo si Jillian kaso pinauwi naman agad kami ni Atty. Romy kasi nga, magiging pangulo pala ako." she continued
"Bok, pinapangako ko sa'yo na hindi masasayang ang nasimulan mo at ipagpapatuloy ko yung mga nagawa ko na." Leni said and a tear escaped her eye
She suddenly felt someone hug her from the back and when she turned to see who it is, she saw her youngest daughter.
"Anak. Hindi ka makatulog?" she asked her
"Uminom lang po ako ng tubig kasi nakalimutan ko pong magdala tapos nakita ko po kayong kinakausap si papa kaya nakinig na rin po ako." she replied
"Ma, don't worry. Alam ko na proud sa iyo si papa at mahal na mahal ka niya. Ramdam ko po na isa siyang mabuting tao kahit na hindi ko siya nakilala." she continued
"Napakabait nang papa mo, aki ko." Leni replied
"What was he like as a husband? And as a father?" Jorge asked
"Mahabang kuwento, anak. Hayaan mo, bukas ay uuwi tayo sa Naga para i-celebrate ang birthday niya tapos iku-kuwento ko sa iyo kung ano si papa. Okay? Ngayon, punta na tayo sa kwarto at matulog dahil may pupuntahan pa tayo mamaya." she replied
She put her hands on her daughter's shoulders and they went to the room.
Leni and her children went to Batasang Pambansa t around 3 in the afternoon for the 4 PM schedule of the proclamation.
When they entered the hall, they were greeted by Kiko and his family.
"Good afternoon, madam President. Nakapagpahinga po ba kayo ng maayos?" Kiko greeted her and asked
"Hindi nga masyado, VP eh pero nakapagpahinga naman nang kaunti saka naga-adjust pa ang aming katawan sa time difference." she replied
"Congratulations po, Ma'am Leni." Sharon said and hugged Leni
"Thank you." she replied
She was greeted by so many people wearing big smiles on their faces.
"What a great plot twist madam. Congratulations." a congressman said
"Thank you po, cong." she replied
"Madam President, congratulations. I am so happy for you." Kit said and also embraced Leni
